Ebay Account Limitations

I have been selling under my new account for about 2 weeks now, and I have noticed that I can only list about 8-10 items a day. So my question is this, when should the limitations go away? Is it when I get 10 feedbacks or what?

aspkin 04-30-2007 12:53 PM

After certain time periods and feedback, limitations start to be taking away. Usually around 30-60 days and 15+ feedback is when you should be able to list more aggressively with less concern.

I have found that after 10 feedback and 30 days, staying under 50 per day will keep you safe. (thats what I did till I had problems at 70 in 1 day) Once you are flagged, there is a new limit set you must follow. It changes at a real time periodic rate. Still trying figure it out exactly. This occured at a 40+ feedback rating and just under 60 days. I am hoping the 60 day mark will lift all limitations again. My AVG sales price is around $37 per item. Maybe if people start documeting in a FORUM the listings AVG price and quanitity, maturity and FB rating we could figure out how eBays computers calculate this. I am currently working on a spreadsheet based on my own experience. GOODLUCKALL

I do notice that over time an account has certain limitations lifted - one is the ability to list internationally without paying to link your PP account. And of course the BUY IT NOW ability that comes in after 10 feedback.

Modee, do you have a paypal account linked?

Those are some random items you got there...

Chris Hanson 07-15-2007 01:51 PM

The list was reported by some sellers. It's unofficial but good to know

JackNoMore 08-30-2007 01:28 PM

Damn, IF that list is accurate, pretty much means anything you would buy at a garage sale will get you. So much for the "cleaning out your house" crowd ebay likes to advertise to in their "sales"

zippo lighters? dunhill I can see, I have a source for KO's of those, but a zippo would be like buying a kit car that when it is done looks like an AMC pacer
old 1940's books?

I can see the designer stuff but some of this stuff makes no sense.
I actually hace some A&F and RL stuff (real) that I would like to move. Might do it when I get more backup accounts in place.
