Advice for taking over an older ebay account.
Hi all,
My account was suspended about three weeks ago. I've created a new account in my in-laws name, but I am hating all the restrictions related to new accounts.
I realized that my mom has an old sellers account that she has not used in two years. The account was created in 2000 and although nothing has been sold on it in two years it is rated as a silver powerseller. I thought you had to maintain a certain level of sales to remain a powerseller, but maybe the requirements are different for older accounts??? If anyone knows if maybe the account was grandfathered in under different rules, I am real curious how this account maintains a powerseller status with no sales.
Anyway, my real question is:
Does anyone have any advice for the steps I should take when taking over this account??
I am concerned that the account could get suspended if I go in and change all the information, add a new simon gift account and start selling.
She has bought 3 or 4 items in the past two years and has logged in regularly to lurk on the powerseller board, but other than that the account is just sitting there.
Any advice???
