Ebay suspended my account!! Question!

Will my Paypal account get limited?

GreenBean 12-04-2011 04:12 AM

Not always.

Often it depends on the reasons of ebay giving you a suspension.

What was the suspension?

Quite a few posts here where a user says ebay gone but paypal fine.

As I said, it depends on how bad ebay are making things for you :pop2:

GB is right on with the comment - a lot will depend on what you sell. You may be able to use your pp for other things.

it depends on why you were booted - dsr's, you will probabaly be ok.
If you had no suspicious activity you should still be able to receive & send.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter. Your paypal account can't be used with any other account. EVER. Or it will be linked and your dead in the water again.

Hello.
My eBay got suspended Indefinitely and about 3 days later....

We are hereby notifying you that, after a recent review of your account
activity, it has been determined that you are in violation of PayPal's
Acceptable Use Policy as a result of your sales on eBay. Therefore, your
account has been permanently limited.

You will need to remove all references to PayPal from your website(s)
and/or auction(s). This includes not only removing PayPal as a payment
option, but also the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart.

how do they do that anyway .. Aren't they meant to be acting as separate entities?

Depends on what you were selling I suppose. =[

So they will just suspend whatever they feel like !!??

GreenBean 12-06-2011 07:22 AM

Aye, on an hourly basis.

Often without a reason the account holder can understand, let alone accept. :juggle:

180 days after limitation by PP to get your funds.

Mzgr3k0 12-06-2011 08:32 AM

Hold on a sec..
So if they freeze your money and you can't access it. How do you know they're not playing with your money on the market ? Or earning interest on it?
So that's why they're more likely to sting you if you got some good funds in there.

rsot 12-06-2011 01:49 PM

They DO make money on the funds held - that is their float. Sucks but yes for sure they do.

Friday morning I get an email from eb telling me they have suspended my account indefinately (selling vero). Straight away I logged into paypal and withdrew all of my available funds and got the email to say the bank transfer is going ahead and will take 3 to 4 days etc

Monday morning I got an email to say that my pp account is limited and all my funds will be held for 180 days

I called pp and fortunately, because they got the call from eb after the bank transfer process started I got my money. I then asked if there was anyway of reinstating my account and the nice man at pp told me 'not unless eb change their minds'
