MC999 Ebay Linked with Suspended Account
 

I am working for friends that own a chain of three stores. I agreed to sell on Ebay for them.

We set up an Ebay account for one of them used all of his information, then listed a brand new iphone 4s for sale (stupid I know). Ebay suspended the account indefinitely for selling too high priced of an item as the first item.

We talked it over and 3 days later started another ebay with the other business owners information. We made sure EVERY detail was different from the first account that got suspended.

We then bought two cheap items, got 2 feedback, then 2 days later set up a selling account and put up two small items, ipod headphones and a cell phone battery. They immediately limited the account and requested more information over the phone, which we did and passed (got the account reinstated).

Now tonight we listed the same two items, and an hour later we got a message saying MC999 - account is linked with xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and our selling limit per 30 days went to 0 items.

What in the world do we do here? call ebay again? I feel like they have pinned us and dont want to hear our story at all

Welcome to the forums. It seems that 1) your business model of selling risky items from the start needs to be revamped and 2) you need to understand stealth methodology.

Before you go on (and before others answer) you need to address #2...are you operating via stealth. Seems like no.

I have stealth accounts, but the people I am selling for are legit, I don't need stealth accounts to sell with them.

But Ebay is being dumb and cracking down on people that just want to give themselves and Ebay business

You are the one misunderstanding ebay.

The incorrect methods were used by these people because of a lack of understanding of how ebay works.

If you arranged that, then you do not know stealth.

Looks like you are compromising them by not making accounts correctly.:juggle:

Well its all well and good setting up that new eBay but did you change your IP? create a new user account to avoid cookies and flash linking you to your old one, if you didnt do all this then they would of known its you just creating another account after they have banned the previous one.

You missed some VERY major steps that are also basic steps. There is a short list of things that ABSOLUTELY need to be done to stay stealth. Get the stealth book and read it. Light bulbs will pop on! :thumb:

I used their computer for the first login, the second time I used my netbook. We found out what happened. The phone numbers were the only thing matching. We were sure we used two different ones, but apparently we didn't. We currently have 5 stealth accounts, 3 of which we are starting selling from. We learned our lesson. Thanks guys.

Prob best to get your friends tuned into the forum - takes only 1 person doing something wrong to screw up your ops.

Yea I have told them what the do's and don'ts are with these accounts. So far so good
