How eBay suspend your account base on the IP
 

Dear all:
There is one question base on this statement. I am not very good with computer or network. However, I find this rule is kinda overkill if its true. For example, I and my roommate have different account on eBay, and we share the router which means we probably have the same external ip. So if one day, my roommate's eBay account get suspended, will my account get suspended too because the same ip address?

Additional question with IP, if I have more than one account, I mean stealth account, if that means I have switch my ip everytime I logo in a different one? Its kinda pain in the ass....>_<

if both accounts have same address and some other similarities then yeah probably

but if it was just ip address then you could be okay

ip addresses are not used once and thrown away

the ip address i use today could be used by someone else tomorrow unless its a static ip which never changes

which kind of internet are you using.....broadband....mobile broadband/dongle?

which provider too?

I am using comcast TV cable internet which connects with a wireless router from netgear.

We live together, so the addresses of ebay are the same....:eek:

:doh: thats an interesting one, my guess and gut say yes both will go down, protect yourself buy the stealth guide and start opening back up accounts just in case

Yes they will both go down. However reinstatement might be possible by jumping through loops. Just think if a stealth would go down then naturally they would also go down if the info is real. Ebay is always guilty until proven innocent. Keep that in mind and it will answer many questions.
