Did I just link myself??
 

Okay so I read the stealth guide and I tried to do everything right and it was working great but I made a huge mistake And I'm pretty sure I'm done for with that account, but just want to make sure.

This is what happen, I was logged in with my new IP but I didn't notice I was logged into the wrong user!! So went to ebay and my old banned account name appeared on the top left corner I guess because of cokies once I seen this I knew I had messed up so I just closed the broswer I didn't go to my ebay or anything like that just closed as soon as I opened it. I'm I linked? Which I'm pretty sure I am :( and how long till the ban? I'm selling an item right now...

Welcome to the forums. This has happened to other folx before...one time only, while I would hold my breath, don't lose hope just yet. Do whatever you can to avoid repeating in the future. Monitor your sale - you could be alright but only time will tell - there is no 100% timeframe involved.

I will keep an eye on it... 12 hours to go for this sell. I will just finish this one and lay low for a while on this account.

just an ip alone isnt always enough to get you suspended most times i wouldnt worry

I talked to an ebay rep along time ago, they said they look for Hard links, and one alone might not be enough to link you, they usually need a few hard links before they ban you for good without any recourse.

however, you can never be to carefull when it comes to ebay

Now it will take something simple to get you linked so be extra cautions

Nothing has happened yet, might happen, might not. But so far so good, starting account #2 now just in case. Trying to get 5 going but I need to be more careful in the future.

I think you might be right.

There are a lot of variables that come into play. I once had 3 ebay accounts linked unintentionally, and when one got suspended, all 3 of them went down within a week. But I also had bidded on an item for a friend, who checked out with his own paypal account, and I was concerned his ebay/paypal would go down too, and it didn't. YMMV I guess..
