makes for interesting reading. it does kind of underscore the fact you cannot just go set up an account, buy a few ebooks then immediately start selling rolex watches without getting booted - even if they are real and you do ship them to the buyer.

for me this makes me realise that you got to build up your business slowly over a few months - which is a pain if you were doing a high turnover each month before you got that suspension notice.

I wonder if many people who have been kicked off and were trying to get back on, were cut due to activity that deviates from the supposedly 'normal' ebay trading patterns mentioned in the article?

just makes me think you have to take your time with your post-suspension 'relauch' which can be a pain in the ass

Thumbs down Kind of silly actually...

what they are saying is what anyone would do whether they wanted to defraud people or build a reputation.

Noone builds their feedback on EBAY with expensive items. They almost all use inexpensive items at first. Why? Risk. I made an early mistake once of selling at $100+ DVD set on EBAY. Everyone else was getting the price, I got $70. It was a stupid risk I took.

It is simplistic and moronic to assume that all people that build their feedback with small items and then mature to more expensive items are fraudsters. Sure, a fruadster might do this, but it is common sense for every legitimate seller as well.

One star out of ten.
