Ebay's new seller requirements????
 

Long time lurker. Anyway, has anyone heard that ebay has new seller requirements. Each time I try a stealth account, no matter how many buy feedbacks, as soon as I open a seller's account and list something the account gets the MC99 message. This has happened to 5X. They ask you to call them and they now ask you a series of public records questions to verify your ID.

I was also told that the Driver's License and utility bill is longer accepted.

Has anyone heard of this new procedure?

I have been very active with ebay in the last week and if this is true it's a whole new ballgame. I have only attempted to open my last accounts thru personal relationships, this way I have all the info ready.:confused:

This is pretty standard now for a new account (less than 30 days) You need to let it marinate for a bit before you list anything.

What I usually do is call ebay and ask them to walk me through the process of selling on a new account. This USUALLY prevents them from getting the MC99 message.
