EBAY now does phone verification on all new Seller accounts
 

every time i open new account and post on it in 1-2 minuets i get a call from ebay confirming and asking stupid questions.. If you don't pick up then they wont post any of your auctions and if you do you will be ok and auctions post in 1 minute. But if you pickup and woman don't like you she will suspend the account in 1 minute. Any one else?

Maybe you are not playing the ebay game the right way? PLEASE correct me if I am wrong but I thought there are a couple of dozen posts here that recommend that a new seller makes an account, let it 'age', have paypal {which I know YOU hate},then list slowly. Why do you always complain about ebay because it seems your method causes troubles for you.:rolleyes:

let it 'age ? I dont let my accounts age.. I open a least 3 accounts a day.been doing it for long time. I don't care if eBay call me but it is annoying. 3 times a day i have to speak to these idiots. Are you blalala yes ...is this your account yes and what are you selling ...thats it ... i was just wondering if many people get that.. not a big problem

Sighs. Then, yeah, you get the phone calls. I do not have that energy any more to make accounts that way.

So if you get the annoying calls, but the account works, then i am assuming you do not get suspended, therefore you must have a bunch of working accounts????

I don't understand what phone calls you're talking about. The only calls I get are the ones with the 4 digit pin.

Green Bean....I think he missed your point....I am with you....Too quick to list, means quickly come down. Ebay is not stupid. It simply makes sense for them to red flag any account opened with immediate listings...

After im done posting in 1to 5 minutes i get a call usually from woman. I don't know why they are doing it.. It is pointless. Just verify that it is your account and they ask what you are selling..

So you make x3 accounts a day. Then you list on each of these accounts? Then you get
phone calls within a certain time and these calls are from a woman?
The answer is obvious, there must be an female ebay employee that fancies you! You might be in luck here.

Well one time man called me ;-) Yes after i list my auctions i get a call. Is this account ----- yours ? ---- what are you selling? ---- one time i offered free shipping .. and she ask me --- you offer free shipping?----they say it is to verify... I'm running a business here and i have to speak to these fkrs everyday.. Now i call my self china names they dont expect allot from china people..

I don't understand... why don't you just let the accounts age before posting if you hate the calls so much?

And if you don't want to wait for the accounts to age.. and choose to post anyway.... then why complain that you're getting calls?

Aging accounts is stupid. Non of new accounts get suspended if you know what you are doing..... so I don't understand why age them? Where did you hear that legend?
I save 7k a month on fees because i use many accounts so aging is not option.
I just wanted to know if im only one who is getting calls..

Can I ask you a few questions...

1) Where are you getting all your different phone numbers from for eBay to call you about these different accounts?

2) What do you tell them if you are selling 'Vero' items and they ask you what are you selling?

3) How are you managing to save 7k a month in fees just because you use many accounts? (Is this because your accounts end up being suspended during the first month?)

Finally what will you do when this woman becomes familiar with your voice and starts to realise that she has spoken to you a few hours prior? lol

I am sure that will not arise suspicions having a Chinese name and answering the phone with a Russian accent! :D

Would be a good idea to give a name which is so difficult to pronounce that they just wont bother to make the call in the first place, and if they do call then dont let them continue until they pronounce your name properly.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

Nkhangweleni (forgive me) Nkwankuwoha

Xola (stay in peace) Ktsunkwatuti

Let's see if they bother to call you with either of those names. :D

I dont think it is a same woman.. They got too many people working for them... I guess most are woman.. I dont need any fb becase i sell staff that people want and they take them with no feedbacks. if you have 0 feedbacks having a website is good that tells people you are not scammer.. also have feedbacks on your webste (people belive it just like ebay feedbacks) I post each one for 50-60$ thats where 7k come in for example...

But how do you save on eBay fees?

Ebay is stupid... I dont know where you get your info.. I have been doing this for wile and if you know what you are doing you list quickly,,sell get your $ and get out,, just like bank robbery ;-)
