Will my suspension affect my wife's account?
 

I had my selling privileges irrevocably suspended the other day.

My wife also has an account with items currently being sold.

She hasn't been banned yet but will she?

So far she changed it back to her maiden name, she had the account before we were married and also changed the address.

We also changed our IP and scrubbed all machines clean of my account.

All that has happened is you have changed info on 'your side'.

All the old info, including a link to your suspended account, is there for ebay to observe.

It is possible your wife's account may be suspended as well.

Might have been wiser to ask here before undertaking such extreme measures. Info changing can flag account.

Chances are her account will be suspended.

Does she need the account at the moment?

Or are you just scared she will scold you?

You may aswell make a new Account, just in case...

She won't scold me. She's a s mad as me that they closed the account. She currently has a few things listed and is going to be listing more as her account limits increase.

Also one of her friends is going to give us her account as she doesn't use it. Now I just need to get her bank account and credit card switched over and I should be good to go with that as a stealth account.

Start facing the reality now that your wife's account may not last to get any increases.


By accepting a friend's account, and claiming it will be OK as stealth, means you may have not read anything on this forum.

Is that the case?

What is the status of the friend's account?

Do you know why it is not being used?

What are you doing for IP differences.

This is not going to end well either. Friends & business often fail.

You are missing the point of 'stealth' by using old existing accounts & changing info

basicly what GreenBean said, don´t use your wife´s friend account.

Why did you got suspended in the first place?

If you operate in a manner that all these accounts cannot be LINKED in ANY fashion, then you are safe.

No, everything on the friends account would stay the same and in their name. The only thing that would change is the addition of a 2nd bank account which money would then be transferred to

Changing the IP address, this isn't the first time I've changed an IP address. Ex-IT

DSR. Had an international buyer grab a bunch of items. I gave her a discount of $1 per additional item as stipulated in my auctions. She received the items weighted them and said I was over charging for shipping. She raped my DSR. Then I didn't really sell anything for the next three months because of travel...and you know the rest.

Yeah, been told kids are boring. I prefer ebay. Never bores me.

Make sure you have a new user account once you start with this account.

Make sure your IP is dynamic & changes. Expect paypal to call if a different IP is used.

Consider avoiding international shipping to protect this account

Consider other options of making your own accounts.
