MC999 Can I call Ebay instead of my mother?
 

Registered an account on my mother. After listing the first item was suspended, and received 2 emails:
1 - MC999 NOTICE: eBay Listing(s) Removed

2 - MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account

Based on your account information and activity, it looks like user ID xxx (IT'S NOT MINE! THIS ACC WAS SUSPENDED IN 2011 (I'VE LOOK IT ON EBAY)) is associated with your account. This usually indicates that both accounts belong to the same person. At this time, you won't be able to sell any additional items with this account because your other account is restricted or otherwise not meeting minimum seller standards.

You won't be able to sell any items with your account until you provide us with additional information. There are 2 ways that you can do this--through My eBay or the next time you sell.

To start the process through My eBay:
1. Click "My eBay" at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.
2. Select the "All Selling" option in the "Sell" section on the left side of the page (or in the "Selling Manager Summary").
3. Click the "Request higher selling limits" link in the monthly selling limits section.

To start the process the next time you sell, click the "request higher selling limits" link in the alert message the next time you try to list an item.

You can also begin selling again by resolving any issues with the other account. We've already sent instructions for resolving these issues to the email address registered to that account.

If you currently have more items (active items for sale and sold items) this month than your limits allow, you should reduce the number of listings you have on the site. Any listings that place you over your current limits may be automatically removed.
So my question: Can I call Ebay instead of my mother? She does not speak English.

This is a generic message from eB - they CAN say you are linked to XXX when sometimes it is FALSE!

Even though the account is in the mother's name?

You are recommending that the OP call to deal with this?

Why not - he can take the time to alter voice...or have a girl call.

Another reason why it is not recommended to use relative or family info - sadly, a lesson learned but it isnt killer at this point.

If they linked to your first suspended account and it is yours then they have a strong reason for that, I would say Move on and make a new account and try to be more careful

Just called to ebay. Succeeded! Operator asked to call my mother (on registered number). My wife picked up the phone, operator asked the name - she said. The rest she had not understood - she does not speak English) Finally, operator said what can increase selling limit and did it (10/500):cheer:
