Ebooks Bad

Need a memory refresh--Are .99 ebooks ok to buy in bulk (like 5-10 at a time) and still keep a new account alive? Is it only the .01 books you have to worry about? Basically anything much less than a dollar steer clear of right?

only after 5 days then buy them

No it's not a good idea to do this. EBay is smart remember, and they know what people do to gain fast feedback. Abusing eBay? Sometimes you'll get away with it, but most of the time you won't...

Lol, I need to start selling ebooks on eBay if people are still buying. :)

This account is over 5 days, I've sold some items on it already but have yet to get any feedback (shipping and all that). If you were in my place would you feel funny about having your first postives be for cheap ebooks or do you do it often with no problems or noticeable drop in bids for your items? I'm thinking of just buying a couple to get things rolling. If not ebooks, any ideas on cheap items (hopefully that don't require shipping)?

i would buy a few ebooks. I did it before. But dont try to buy 10 ebooks etc...

I would only buy maybe 3..

and do you know that you can buy $1 items on ebay all day long with low or free shipping. Try doing that instead of ebooks

aspkin 06-10-2007 12:09 PM

Okay, the times I've actually bought feedback, my accounts never lasted long. I've probably done this 3-5 times before I stopped buying feedback because of being suspended so fast. That's my experience with it.

JackNoMore 06-10-2007 12:14 PM

Yeah I agree about the store auctions, they don't seem to require a lot of feedback to succeed. Which reminds me, how many feedback do you need to open a store at ebay?

I wish there was a way to search the entire site by price rather than by category. That could take a while if you're just looking for "cheap crap" lol

aspkin 06-10-2007 12:16 PM

Last time I checked you don't need feedback to open a store.

Well, I've got my eye on a set of powerseller ebooks. Maybe that will help sweeten the pot? Anyway, I've bought cheap items before but they always like to jump up the shipping to compensate. I know why they do that and sympathize, but it makes finding a "deal" harder. Oh well.

Has anyone here actually been suspended for buying just 1 or 2 ebooks when starting out? The only real reason I'm thinking of buying at all is that it's taking SO long to get any feedback since the items are being sent overseas, and I'm concerned how this is looking for other shoppers considering to bid.

ebaysucks12345 06-10-2007 03:26 PM

i have bought 10+ .99 cent ebooks and started listing right away and my account has been alive for several weeks.

Ballsack 06-10-2007 04:12 PM

I don't want to spend 10 dollars for no reason just so I can list with buy it now. I rather sell 99 cent or penny items than purchase them.

When 3 years ago?? There aint no way you can do that now

ihatebay 06-10-2007 10:59 PM

it looks way suspicious if the only feedbacks you have are for ebooks. i'd rather bid on an auction with o feedbacks than one with 4 or 10 feedbacks for ebooks.

why don't you just start off at 0? Or, start 10 other accounts and well leave feedback for each other? it's sorta shill bidding but you aren't hurting anyone.
