Everyone in family banned. Going legal business route with EBay/Paypal
 

All my family members and close friends have been suspended at one point or another on EBay/Paypal. I'm deciding to go the making a Business route.

1. I made a business (DBA not an LLC since I needed a registered insurance agent) at the secretary of states office.
Business being under a completely new address in a different state but put the mailing address same as my apartment (which could possibly get linked but I'm only giving eBay and Paypal the physical address of business the one in another state so they would have to look up the business through the secretary of states office to locate the mailing address. Which I hope would involve a real person doing that and not an automated computer)

2. Got an EIN from the IRS.
3. Opened up a New bank account and got a credit card with it.
4. Cleared my cookies and flash cookies.
5. Changed my IP address.
6. Made a new user.
7. Got a new phone number

I'm kind of new to deleting cookies and flash cookies but I did the YouTube volume test explained in step 1 and it worked.
I haven't even typed in eBay or Paypal yet because I'm scared they can still link me by my computer.
Does it matter that I did 7 steps out of order?
I'm pretty sure Paypals still going to ask me for my name since I didnt make an LLC just a DBA. Should I use my middle name? And my EIN?

Yes, make the new windows user. I would if you can delete the Windows User Account that had the suspension. So you never accidentally log onto it again even if you have deleted the cookies and everything else. Also even with an LLC PayPal does ask for your name as well. So even if it is banned you are really stuck giving it to them because the 1099k you get if you sell over 20k has your name on it not your business name. For the most part you check list looks about right to me. Depending on the address you have on file with your bank(if it is the address that got booted before). You will want to get a gift card to register with PayPal because you can register it to any address you want.

You still face the chance that the SSN may be required.

EIN works but if paypal dislikes your business plan, they are known to ask for the SSN.

Do you have one not used before?

I do not understand the relevance of saying family & friends all banned. Are you meaning you used their info?

If so, make 1000% sure this time round you operate correctly. Your options are getting smaller.

If you are in a state that you need to collect sales tax make sure you charge it etc. GreenBean is absolutely correct. Make sure your run a tight ship if you are going to all this trouble with the EIN etc. Not worth it to throw it away by doing something boneheaded. It would take a PayPal and eBay insider to tell us exactly what it is but they have a formula for everyone based on sales, feedback, number of disputes etc. It all plays a role in how much freedom eBay gives you. Going this legit route I can not stress enough how important it is to make sure your keep yourself always in the best standing possible.

Say I got banned on "USER 1" and I made all my new information on "USER 2" am I still allowed to log on to "USER 1" as long as I don't go on ebay/paypal? (I needed files on "USER 1" and now I'm afraid I already ruined everything.

Also I'm in a state that doesn't require sales tax.

Im basically saying I have a new user account on this computer just solely for the new ebay. But is it okay to go back to my old account since I have important files on there. I wish I just got a whole new mac all together because now Im scared.

You can go back to an old windows account just make sure NO ebay login - take the files out (e.g. to a USB stick) and move on - dont risk accessing over and over and accidentally logging into eB or pp
