Hello everyone! A few questions please. :)

Hello, well I purchased the ebook yesterday and have been reading and reading. Its a good book I am glad I bought it. But I have a few questions I hope you all can help me with. First, I am going to open up a new bank account throu WaMu...No problem there But can I use the bank credit card as my credit card for Paypal? Second, Can I use a cell phone of my own that has never been used or linked with Ebay or paypal before? And one more thing...My account with Ebay is not suspended (yet) but it is very limited. I cannot sell a certain designer item. Anyway I have changed my Ip Address and I realized today that I logged into that ebay account to check on a account. Is that going to hurt me in anyway. Any suggestions please. Thank you!

No you cannot use the bank debit card because it doesn't have your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name on it. You will have to get the Simon giftaccount and by doing so will have a cc with the made up identity. Second you can use your cell phone number which you never used for ebay before but you can only use that number once. Thirdly you cannot access the old account with the new ip your going to be using for your new ebay account.
Instead of going through the problem of getting a new ip just use aol dialup it only costs $11.99 and gives you a new ip every session. The speed isn't bad as well.

Okay thank you...I wanted to add I only want one new Ebay account. But I also have two others that I sell from sometimes. So I would have to have a differnt IP addy for those as well. They cant all three have the same IP address and different names. Sorry this is a bit confusing to me.

When you make the new ebay account you will have a new ip address. Don't ever log in to the new ebay account with ip address which you used to log into the existing accounts which you already have.

It doesnt matter whether or not it was suspended or not? The other accounts are fine no problems or worries about them being shut down. They are my husband's and mine. We have used those two account together for about a year or so.

oh, dont know if this would matter but I havent created the new account yet with Ebay. I just have a new Ip address. Like it would be me just accessing my account from another computer. Right?

Im just saying if you use the same ip you've been using for your old accounts on the new ebay account then if ever you get suspended the new ebay account will also be suspended.

Okay Thank you very much....I completely understand now what your saing. Have a great day!

So paypal and Ebay does check the name on your CC. I read in the stealth book that they do not check the name on your bank account just the number. If that is true than why not use the same cc from your bank?

John14789 07-08-2008 04:36 PM

Your bank accout has your REAL name and hence forth your debit card from your bank will also have your REAL name.
Yes ebay and paypal can only see the number of your bank but for the cc you have to put your name when entering the info. For the bank you don have to enter a name. Just make it easier for yourself go to Simon.com get a GIFTACCOUNT then enter the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info for the recipient and enter your REAL info for billing. Remember to use a working number for the recipient.

When you go to sell an item for the first time on an account, right before they submit your listing, they give you three options:

" Choose your payment method
1. Pay with paypal
2. Add a credit card
3. Add a bank account "

Instead of adding a credit card in order to sell, are they now giving you more options? If I pick one of the three will I be able to sell or do I need to still chose to add the credit card? I haven't had to open a new ebay account in years, so I've never seen these options before.

Thanks

John14789 07-08-2008 11:38 PM

You still need to add a credit card to sell.

Thanks for the info

I have the book too.

My biggest concern is using a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name. I understand I will use my real name with my bank, but still. I feel like I am commiting some sort of fraud by making up a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name for ebay and paypal.

Is it better to make like a business name? like if I want to sell charms, I could use my first name and then use the word "charms" as my last.

I don't know. I am just worried about making up a random name. How do you accept checks that way? Or accept items/money to your ups/p.o. box?

I can't remember, but I thought when I registered for my P.O. box, they wanted to see an ID of anyone I added to it. Maybe that's wrong though.

EBay isn't running your credit or reporting anything to anyone. If using a name other then your own, there is nothing that can happen to you except maybe a terminated account.
