Suspended on Ebay - So what else is new?
 

Hello everyone,

I have the same story as everyone else, "suspended from ebay"; basically my brother had an account that got suspended, idk what he was doing, but I had a legit running account with no relation with him whatsoever. I guess that I was selling similar things? After 5-6 months they told me I've been linked and shut it down along with all my appeals.

Anyways, I read the stealth guide and much on this forum, but I don't seem to find a long term solution. Basically I want to go legit as always. I want to rent out a store, get my business license/permits, and sell my stuff along with on Ebay. Would I be able to sell again registering as a DBA or LLC? What can I do about SSN now that I'm flagged? Will an EIN be enough? Any help is greatly appreciated! :yar:

Were you two using the same IP? If so that is how you got linked and if you have read a lot in the forum you will see that IP linking is one of the most important areas you need to learn.

Spending many hours reading and taking notes is how you can find out lots of things and keep up with the changes as it appears something changes all of the time.

Different computer with different IP, just same last name and address =/

I am searching for answers but it's a little bumpy x(, nothing I have found that applies for long term..

Upgrade your pp account to business and add an ein. That will be enough but with pp you can't never be 100% sure about them asking for ssn. Good luck.

Forum clearly lays out what to do to create an account.

It is down to the user of that account to make it last long term.

@kenshintr What about for First/Last name? If my dba/llc is e.g Motors R Us LLC, I don't think Motor Us would work >_< haha. I assume theyll ask for ssn if account gets too big?

@GreenBean It is from my brother who has/had a subscription, but I guess I will have no choice but to apply soon :)

I was kind of thinking of making an LLC and forming a DBA under it sounding like a person's name e.g Bob Thomson, and put that as name, would that work?

As for location address & IP, I want to rent out a store with new computer and new internet.

To be a little more specific, I only want 1 long term account: I know there are many things that change, but I want to start off in a way where I'm flexible to keep the account alive.

Really? Why do you say that? Views please - I have followed the guide and made my own tweaking and have accounts active for over 4 years. Guess would also depend on what you sell and how you operate - no real advice there unless you wish to discuss category listing and item.

You appear to not be looking at the picture correctly here....

Forum was founded in 2007.

High number of users who joined from then are running stealth accounts.

Now since it is just past 6 years since we started, it is not unreasonable to say making a stealth account correctly will last long term.

An ebay account is only as good as its user. That applies stealth or not.

Maybe reappraise your approach? Find the methods, follow them, comply to the ebay/paypal rules, and your chances of long term are good.

Well people say submitting an EIN of a LLC/DBA instead of SSN, eventually they ask for a SSN or whatnot.

you can easily make an account last long term, just dont add bank acct and ein until you have an established legit account, otherwise it is just a waste
