Why am I NOT suspended?
 

So most of you know that I was killed for selling digital download items on ebay. I had 2 accounts:

Account one opened Oct 2007, with 64 feedback and 1 negative = killed
Account two opened July 2002, with 700 feedback and 4 negatives = active

I didn't know about linking or anything before I found this forum. I am sure I linked them by sharing same paypal account, I only have one, and using same computer, also selling exact items. Both of them have my real name.

These accounts from what I read here are linked for certain, but I was suspended in April 2008 but my old account is still not killed and I've used it to post new physical items and bought a digital camera with it.

So not that I want to get my remaining account suspended, but WHY is NOT suspended yet??? Curious.

My theory is that my main account is a powerseller, super old, and linked to a super old paypal account. Maybe they don't use linking programs on older accounts???

powersellers gets speical treatment u can do alot of stuff and not get banned

I have Gold Grade Powerseller and paid eBay $80000 in past 3 years. eBay suspended all my 5 linked accounts with no hesitation .

I think the only reason is that you are super lucky in this case, if you want your survival account to be suspended, you only need to send an email to eBay and ask them , "what the heck did you kill my first account" , their response will be "Oh , i didn't realize you have a 2nd account yet" ,

then, ur 2nd account will be dead for sure, that is what happened to my linked account.

i had a powerseller account 3 years old with 11,000 feedback. its got snuffed like a candle as soon as ebay lawyers got back from france. same as a load of my friends.

I'm pretty sure what you sell plays a BIG part in it.

My sister and my dad both use eBay accounts on the same IP address as me. I've been suspended about 5 times in total, all from the same IP address. When I tried to sell similar products on my sisters account, it got suspended. And it was ONLY when I started selling these, which was about a week after. My dad's however stayed fully in tact.

So I think as some kind of "family" protection, it's pretty clear for ebay to see if several accounts in one family are being used by a suspendee or not.

Potentially infringing items? What did your Dear Jane letter say?

It said nothing specific. the usual garb !! abusing sellers agreement. they always do that when they have no actual proof. they suspected . but had no proof i was selling infringing items. as the brand company did not care and was not sure either. be different if i was selling major brands. i was not
