suspended !

hi aspkin here is my short story on ebay i have an account which i sell high end watches all above board and are authentic , i opened another account to sell other items around the house and stuff and ended up getting that account suspended . my other main business account was working still so i used it for a couple weeks longer wile i send in the stuff ebay needed to put my other account on , anyway i never heard back from ebay and they say contact them after 5 days if you dont hear from them so i , but the thing is i contacted them from my other account the one that was still working as i didnt no that you couldnt use other account when you have 1 suspended and i got that 1 suspended . now i have 2 accounts suspended and the main 1 i use for business is suspended for a year so it said in the email i got from them . they have told me to appeal the 1st suspended account so i faxed them the info in again and i still havent heard from them and it is the 6th day since i sent them in . they mustin give a sh*t ! my brother has a account under the same address and it is still working do you think i could use it ok ? i sell high end watches tho so it mite draw attention to the account and then get suspended ! is it possible to change the address a little and then my brothers account wont be conected to our address that is suspended ? what do you think askpin ? i could also set up a new email address and set it up with his account is ther anything else i could do to keep this account ? as its about 2 years old and has over 100 feedback 100% any advice would be great thanks chris

Hi chris187, welcome to the forums!

I'm sorry about your suspensions, in order to truly make any future accounts of yours bullet proof, you must find out the reason eBay has suspended you in the first place. Was it because the item you're selling? If that's the case with any future accounts you will be limited time wise. If another user has complained about your item and that's the reason for your suspension, it will happen again. So just be careful about that.

Using your brother's account will be okay. But be warned you risk the chance of linking that account and having it suspended as well. Be sure to read my eBay guide for steps on how to minimize linking accounts.

hi aspkin i have never had a problem with the products i sell as they are authentic and have never had any complaints from customers . i got suspended from the other account as i was selling a mobile phone from hong kong and it looked simlar to a vista phone i said in the title this is not a vista phone and it got took off so i took that out and relist it , but i forgot i had writtin in the description aswell and i got banned for that , i have sent them my info twice to get back on but they have not got back to me . for my bros account can i change the house address alittle and other stuff and get to keep the account going ? he is moving out in the next couple of weeks time to a new house so he will be able to change his info so then the account cant be realted to my sure it cant ?

yes thats what i did do as i have never been banned before and didnt think it was against ther rules ,to have another account , i soon found that out tho lol it says in the email that they send to you that if they do not get in contact wuth you 5 days then they havent got the docments that i have sent in , did they email you and tell you that they got your info that you faxed to them ?

What is the magic formula. Here's my story.

I work for an ISP. So changing my IP address is easy. It usually stays close to the same IP, on the same range, but the IP is different. I sometimes read emails from old suspended account while on this new IP but NEVER reply using the EBay RESPOND button, only reply through the email.

I do have this account using a new email address through PayPal but these two things are the only things that link me in ANY way to my old account. After reading all of the info on the forum and on the website, it seems that these two things won't hurt you.

I sell the same items but they are perfectly allowed with many many other power sellers selling them the same way I'm selling them.

What is the magic formula...I'm struggling.

That's good news then. It seems the reason they suspended you was because the title of your item. EBay places filters for certain keywords (products) they look for that aren't supposed to be sold. If a auction pops up that has all the wrong keywords, they will either auto delete it or send it to review. I'm guessing newer accounts will get auto deleted, and accounts with more history will get reviewed.

You should be okay to use your brother's account, just clean your computer well, cookies, IP address etc. Add your brothers email to your paypal account to accept the payments and you should be good to go.

Just make sure to change your description and title with your new listings. Don't add that it's not a certain brand either.

hi askpin yea that was a 1 off selling that phone , i understand i broke the rules and got suspended but now i have sent in the documents twice and they havent emailed me to say they have got them :-s . about my bros account i will be selling my high end watches like i have said before that i sell and they are original etc etc will the account get reviewed if i put 1 on ? as i said before aswell my bro is moving out so maybe i can wait another 2 weeks are so then change all his info , house address number , phone number , postal code so then the account cant be connected to my old ebay account is this right ? i uderstand all about clearing cookiies etc i have read your guides through quite a few times ! do you think i shud send the documents in to ebay about suspended account are will this bring heat on my bro account and possible get it suspended ? thanks for the advice chris

hi askpin i just wanted to ask a few more questions , i am using my brothers account now ( same address etc etc ) and all is well so i dont wana mess about and alert ebay to check over the details of my bros account are il get suspended so would changing my bros ebay name to a more business name rather than his name alert anything or get ebay looking into the account ? and also if i change from normal selling account to a business seller on ebay would this alert anyone ? and another thing as i said before i have sent the documents to ebay twice about my other account and have not heard from them , can they link me in any way if i send these docments off and they start looking about the accounts at my home address as this will alert them to me using my bros account ! if you think it could possible get them looking into the accounts in more detail then i would bother as i have a account working at the min with no problems ! do you think they will catch me in the end using my bros account ? i dont do anything dodgy are anything so i shud be alright ! right ?

chris187, as long as you don't link the accounts some how, sharing the same computer (cookies), or IP address, you should be okay. And keep trying to get your other account back, if they haven't linked the accounts yet, then they don't know about your brother's account. If all else fails, do a modee on them! lol

Actually I think Modee got that idea from one of my guides or comments. I tried to hide it, as to not entice people to it, but who cares now... lol

hi askpin what do you mean about do a modee on them ? i know all about creating the accounts and the cookies etc etc as iv red your stuff through and through and taken notes so i will never get caught like that ! i already have another account ready to be used if something happens to this account tho i bought some 1p auctions with it on jan and it was being reviewed and it wouldnt let me bid or list anything at all so i must have trigged a red falg on that 1 havent went into the account for a few weeks , i have also another account made at the same time and its ok . so getting linked is all about the cookies and ip address , not if i change the ebay name on my account or to a business account il be ok ? thanks chris

Sorry I must have missed your thread some how, but yes it's mostly your IP address, cookies, linking of paypal, gallery images that link to certain domains, and if you're auction descriptions and title are 100% the same as before. That's mostly it.

thanks for that , yea i have changed title and description a little and also take all new pictures instead of using old ones i had thanks for the help chris

I've never fully understood this method, perhaps you can make the penny drop for me. So you don't want a bank with a DD which is fine, you don't want them clawing back their cash
