What do I do while my account is limited
 

I have an account being reviewed. I might get shut down as my inventory was supplied by a local supplier who I discovered was supplying from China.

My account is limited. I can't revise my listings or list new items. But, I can end items and change my account information.

My major concern is the following:
I have several items that I have sold over 1,000 units under that single ebay auction ID and those auctions are still on the site and I can still sell them.

If EBay shuts me down - will all those prior customers be able to return items for a refund or demand a refund without having to return items?

Should I change my automatic payment method to a throw away pre-paid card?

Thoughts and help greatly appreciated.

Never use a credit card with a high limit or a debit card with a lot of money in the account.

Changing your payment method will only be PART of the solution. You will also have to cancel that credit or debit card to be safe.

If eBay closes your account, an email will go out to your recent buyers encouraging them to request a refund, especially if the items were phakes - and the items would NOT have to be returned in that case.

A buyer would just have to say they "disposed" of the item since it was illegal.

You should have used better intelligence to source your items to list on ebay.

A local supplier who turns out to be importing from China has left you in a big pickle.

Avoid this ever happening again.

Should your buyers get word to request refunds, you have problems. expect the account to go into the negative.

Getting good advice. As for returns - eB claims systems allows the seller to ask the buyer to RETURN the items for full refund - you will lose out on the shipping.
