got suspended by ebay blah blah. my ? is if a family member who has very similar name than i agrees to open acct for me with new SS, bank account and po box, is it likely that the similarity in the name will alert the Ebay Gestapo? I was suspended over a year ago but dont know if this will raise flags.

also, in the interim i Was using partners info recently to sell but they too were suspended. got tons of merchandise and am worried if i sell same items under new family members name will this cause any red flags? please help!

hi, i have made 3 accounts overall. I never used a real name for the first name. Just the last name was real ( for paypal ). I say you just make up a name, but use a last name which is on a bank account. Sorry if this not the answer you want, maybe someone more experienced can help.:o

this is a workaround if you are in Canada, they don't ask for SSN#

as per Modee, if you are in US and use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name for Paypal , you will have trouble.

Even ebay recognizes there will be people of the same name. Provided that ALL details on the new account have no association whatsoever with you OR been used on ebay/paypal this will likely work. Note LIKELY. To recreate a new ebay ID is much more than a new name. Certain other steps are needed. As for selling similar items of the suspended account, oh yeah, likely ebay bots will recognize this.

well, greenbean is right though. Ebay cares more about the identity than yourself. Unless ebay is sure that you are the one was banned, it will keep your ID alive because it does care its business.

By the way, greenbean, since I saw you are almost everywhere, do you mind answer one of my thread asking questions about mac address and ip address? :)
