Does The Phone Number Matter?
 

WHEN YOU FILL OUT A NEW ACCOUNT ,(DIFF NAME ,ADDRESS,ETC) it asks for a phone number.. I have used all mine on old suspended accounts.

Do they check this or will a bogus one work?

From what I've gathered, eBay does from time to time check to see if your number is valid, but doesn't act on it if the number is invalid. For the most part you shouldn't have a problem with a bogus number. Just make sure it's in the same area as you, and you should be okay. Also think about it, most people registering on eBay aren't going to give there real number out, it's a personal thing.

sometimes when you sign into your account,Ebay wants to verify it is You ,by asking to text or call you on your phone number,what would you do then?

im pretty sure they know or something like that. i know becaue paypal doesnt like google voice being added sometimes saying its not in your name or something!
