invisible2009 | 07-18-2013 07:48 PM | Mc142 - please help! Hi there,
I just received the following message from eb and my account got suspended. I don't know how eb will verify the utility bill (hydro bill) as I have to change the name/add from the real utility bill. Also, I put down the entropay credit card info there and there is no way I can get the cc stmt showing all the info eb requested. Please help as I just purchased the book and went over it and nothing mentioned abt this issue.
As part of eBay's security efforts, your account has been suspended pending additional account verification. To appeal this suspension, please provide the following:
- A copy of your driver's license or other government-issued photo identification.
- A copy of the last 30 days of PayPal transaction history as proof of your PayPal account.
- A copy of a recent credit card statement clearly showing the first and last 4 digits of the card number, expiration date, and the billing address.
- If the ID and credit card statement don't show the address registered to your eBay account, you'll need to provide specific documentation that does, such as a utility bill or receipt (if the address is for a mail forwarding service). |
An0nym0u$ | 07-18-2013 08:39 PM | I would first think of reasons why eB might have sent this message.
-How old is the account; did you list right away?
-Did you list a risky (VeRO) item?
-Do you have a suspended account that was linked to this one?
You can try to accommodate the request by sending in doc's that they are asking for (just cross out the sensitive info).
But it seems you might have to take a loss with this account and start over w/ a new stealth account. |
invisible2009 | 07-18-2013 09:08 PM | Account is 4 yr old with 300+ feedback, I recently just increased the listings and the sales went up a lot.
Yes, it's considered risky item such as brand name clothing.
I'm thinking it might got something to do with the credit card info as I just added the entropay cc card the day before I got suspended! |
GoteBay | 07-18-2013 09:35 PM | What prompted you to add the CC to your eBay account? |
invisible2009 | 07-18-2013 09:37 PM | To subscribe to eBay store. I feel dumb here! |

GoteBay | 07-18-2013 09:45 PM | Was this a real account or Stealth? If this was a real account, provide the rest of the information and avoid sending the credit card thing. They may overlook that and boom the account becomes active.
If you cannot get back your account, mistakes happen, you have to move on? |

If you cannot get back your account, mistakes happen, you have to move on? | YES, this is a real account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address. Should I tell eBay that I'm using Entropay pre-paid cc card, and they don't have stmt?
I just purchased the book and will for sure create some stealth accounts. =] |

bigboddie | 07-20-2013 12:24 AM | What did you in was the prepaid, they just don't work for this kind of thing. It's far better to sell without a store on the bay. That's just another way for them to suck money outta you. I've never had a bay store never will only been suspended twice since the 90's. |

Of course, you can't do anything about that account now. But you could start a new stealth account and then if you really wanted a store w/ a verified credit card, contact one of the sellers offering vcc's. |
unclejohnny | 07-20-2013 10:52 AM | Yea, if I was you I go ahead and do another account till you get this issue resolve. |
invisible2009 | 07-21-2013 03:35 AM | Well, can anyone tell me if entropay cc is ok with eBay verification process!? |

OP, is your eB/pp Canada-based? Might want to look at RBC Gift Credit Cards - minimum load of $25 necessary |
