Question About MC999 on special account
 

So I know that a lot of new accounts are getting hit with the MC999, and I also know what a lot people are having luck with calling eBay and getting it reversed. Before I knew this I made a bit of a rookie mistake and have some questions.

I currently use several stealth accounts on eBay and Amazon, however about two months ago I decided to create a new account for my business. This was to be completely separate from my stealth accounts as I'm selling different products, I am an authorized retailer of the product etc.

So I signed up using all the proper info and details for the business in both eBay and PayPal. I listed a couple of iPhone chargers I had laying around just to build feedback (yes I know, very stupid mistake) and I got hit with MC999 immediately.

Now my question is, since this happened so long ago, would I still be able to call eBay and get the account reinstated? I know the only way to really find out is to try but I wanted to hear a few opinions on how I should go about this before hand. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.:brushteeth:

Just went back to look at the e-mail and I was not given any call in number. Guess this account is toast :(

You are saying 2 months is so long ago? Not at all for eBay - you can call and give a try but...might as well just spend more time with making new stealth accounts WITHOUT a flag on them

Account is more likely to be toast if there was a time frame on that email.

50-50 either way of course.

I have posted elsewhere that I fight for an account.

Should I get the death knock, then I can say I tried.

Since you may be lucky, think this over.

Called back and they were unable to do anything about the suspension :(

Thanks for following up & confirming.

For your situation, I would add that....even if you are not given a number within the email, you can always go to the Customer Support section where you have an option to call eBay (and be provided a 6 digit pin) and choose the topic for Account issues.
