MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

really blows since I been getting these MC999 messages from ebay. Thing that gets to me is that. I been running the same titles for like 6 months on my stealth and just today they start to bring them down? LAME!

All my auctions are the same just the titles are the different (per account that is).

Anyone else been having this problem or what?

Is it just the title that brings this to their attention or the full listing?

Thanks, Ghost.

MC999 are the current candy.

Many being given out to users.

Confirm these are 6 month old accounts just getting a suspension notice.

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

So this means? No my accounts are still running they just took down one auction. But the titles have different words in them and yet still took them down just one for now. I always run 4 auctions, 2 different products but the 2 of them.

And they only took down 1 and not the other 1 of the 2. Strange.

And hey GB long time.

Yeah ebay is DEF weird!

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

I got one last night and was able to clear it up quickly. While on the phone, I was also able to convince the Rep to bump my selling limits from 5/$500 to 25/$1,500.

She was trying to bump me up to 100/$5,000 but her 'system' wasn't able to find any matches for any my stealth answers - I wonder why :p.

She then says, since I can't verify your information w/ my system, I can only bump you up to 25/$1,500.... OK with me!

Maybe I'm a good sweet talker

Moral of the short story:

Take those ugly MC999's and use it as an opportunity to get a slight initial increase. Continue to stay under the radar and the account will be strong long-term.

Oh trust me those accounts are at 50 to 100 feedback + 6 months old.

They limits on them have gone up by either a phone call or on their own.

Thanks for confirming. Question for you...was this account ever "phone verified" in the beginning? When I call the eBay rep, they always say they do this to 'new accounts for verification purposes'

For my situation (and any new stealth account), I'm trying to understand if you verify the MC999 initially, will they ask you 6 months down the road (like you) to verify again?

GhostWhoWalks 09-19-2013 10:40 AM

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

Well half of the dozen stealths I got, I did call to get a higher limit.

The phone verification for my accounts is a bit different. They just send us a TEXT message on the phone.

But even the ones I did call to get higher limits and had feedback removed they still send that. It's just that it's dup listing really. I mean I sell the same products and post 100+ auctions on my main account and didn't get this in like forever! I don't know why they are doing this after so long! Nothing to worry about because I can sell the same products in sets of 2, 3, 4, 5, etc and brand names so I don't really care but it's starting to be a pain in the @$$ when they do it after so long and not the others just that one!

They don't ask to very anything at all really.

Here is the message I got.

MC999 Listing policy violation alert:

Hello (account name here),

To make sure eBay buyers have the best possible shopping experience, we want to ensure easy and accurate searching and purchasing. To help make items easier to find, we have a policy that doesn't allow duplicate listings.

We understand that you may not have been aware of this policy or that this may have been an oversight. Unfortunately, we had to take the following action:
- Duplicate listings have been removed.
- We have credited all associated fees except for the final value fee for your listing(s).

Please take the time to review your listings and remove any other duplicates.

The duplicate listings we identified were listed on the following multiple accounts:
(Account name here)

The items we removed are duplicates of the following listings that are currently active on your eBay account:

(item number here)

Following the guidelines below can help prevent further action on your account, including limits to your buying and selling privileges.
- If you have identical items for sale, please list them in a single, fixed-price, multiple-quantity listing. If you have an active fixed-price listing, we recommend revising it to increase the quantity.
- Review any automated listing features to prevent these items from being relisted.
- If you have more than one user ID, please review all of your listings. Duplicates aren't allowed across accounts.

Here's a sample of the duplicate listings we removed. To see the full list, go to My eBay, click the "Activity" tab, and then click the "Unsold" link under the "Sell" heading.

appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Thanks,

Ebay you truely blow, we just want to make money! If I got one listing of the same I end up selling less. If I got 10 then it's a lot better but hey less money for you in fees! :)

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

One account my title was the same but I had an extra word at the end of it. I guess if I mix them around it won't happen! :O LAME!

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

Yes these duplicate listings happen - I get them too along with listing being pulled - but I dont get any other problems on the account - just re-title and move on

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

Another tip for duplicate listing...

I listed an auction of an item for (let's say $1.99 starting and $19.99 BIN). I also listed that same exact item as a BIN for $19.99.

I got the duplicate listing error message.

I changed the BIN price to $24.99 and I was able to list it without no hassles (along w/ the same auction item which was listed at $19.99).

I believe eBay's policy regarding duplicate listing is that you cannot have the same item, listed at the same time, at the same price. I haven't looked at it recently, so someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this method has worked for me.

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

I've gotten around duplicates in several ways.

1. two of the same in one auction
2. including "info or extra on the topic which gets emailed to them"
3. auction with buy it now and buy it now with different buy it now price
4. Slight variation such as item with 1 refil, item with 2 refils, item with no refils etc.

I think it's a hit and miss with sellers receiving the mc999.

Yeah I know. I had this problem last year I had 500+ listings and then I couldn't re-title. Cause I ran out of ways and so on. So left to 200+ only.

They should just look the other way like they do with everyone else.

You should not have the exact same title is the key point - not really the price

Yeah titles needs to be changed. I had all the same keywords but I changed it around now so it's fine until I get another note if anything.

500+ to only 200+ is a huge differential

Yeah, what gets me is I had 165 sold when I posted 500+ BIN GTC auctions and had TRS!

So they removed all of them left me down to 200+ in the low 200's. and dropped down to 90 sales. PFT LAME!

It's why stealth going is better. Getting really tired of EBAY treating sellers like we are idiots.

Me either. I normally remove the keywords and add a few more in there.

Should be fine but what sucks is those 2 were different in some ways and get me tons of sales and now it drops. Who runs that place over there seriously?

A center for ANTS! lol

It's ebay removing my stuff out.

My competition is selling .99 items to build up feedback to stay at TRS!

I've researched for 3 days on items to sell but seen it was lost of money but oh well right? :)

eB can and HAS gone back 90 days to do listing takedowns...well-known fact ugh

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

90 days. Yikes.

I can just picture selling on ebay and then stopping and 6 months down the road they give you a warning when you arn't selling anymore or care to sell on there lol.

rsot 09-26-2013 05:08 AM

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

6 months thankfully no...but you never know what they want to do in the future....the 90 day policy has been there a LONG time so I dont foresee it changing

Not had them myself.

Wow that sux. Selling on eb gets to be more of a hassle all the time. They do **** to your account that is inexplicable. Just when you think things are going smooth - bam ... Mc999. It's to the point I need to take drugs before I log in every day.

GhostWhoWalks 10-11-2013 06:18 AM

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

I got more MC999 dup listings. :O Seriously?!?!?!!

I had one strange MC999 and they told me cause my auctions where in another language besides english! SERIOUSLY????? No it was a glitch in their system for DUP listings!

I hate these dup listings seriously!

I even change the words around, time to post new pictures and add more name brands and say F U EBAY!

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

I generally get MC999 on new accounts I create. I would say 75% get them within the first week.

In the past I was able to just call in and get them lifted, but recently they have been wanting to verify me with credit information and when nothing comes up they shut down the account. I am trying to figure out how to get by them, but they are super annoying. They have been sending me to some certain department and I get transferred and put on hold for 30 minutes, this never happened before. They would just clear them up. Seems like I have to figure out what is going on.

Yikes thank god I don't have that problem.

The ones I get are for dup listings. Seriously after 6 months. UNREAL! I hope ebay reads this, making me less sales and less money for them! :)

You got that egay?

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

At some point I have to say to myself is it worth the hassle to sell on eBay. I just don't think the stress is worth it anymore. At least if it were a stable platform to deal with then ok. But now it's every few weeks more hoops to jump through. Thankfully I have diversified onto other venues and eb is of very little consequence any more. At some point enough is enough and I will pull the plug on them.

Re: MC999 Been getting hit with these most of the week.

Zero123 ur selling too quickly that's why u r getting shut down at the start and my first item is usually a pack of 2 kraft #2 bubble envelopes or a book and wait 3 weeks than list one item like I said ship it priority and go back to the account the next month

In the beggin I was rushing and my first 25 accounts MC999 and all reinstated u need to figure what to say but what u need is not to get one I haven't received an MC999 in 6 months and I create accounts every week just made one now . That way it sits and ill browse and buy, the slower u go in the beginning the easier the limits raise u will see.

My first group besides having to call I needed to push hard to get limits raise second group I took my time and they are my best accounts raises in second month one account received a 300/30000 limit the others 100/10000 but the one I rushed in the beginning I'm still making money but it took 6 months to raise from 10/1000 to 50/5000 and stayed there , also my account that has 300/30000 sells name brand and is a power seller .

Pm me if u want me to see how ur answers to their are after U call in maybe I can give u couple tips but try and avoid all together
