MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me
 

So far, every time I've done this, so far for all my accounts, I've pretended to be a newbie who is selling stuff from around the house.

What if I didn't? Would I still pass? What if I said yeah I made this thing for a couple friends and they said hey you should sell it on ebay. SO, I thought I'd gift it a try see if it pans out...and start off your mc999 by saying you are here to kind try and make some money, not as a garage seller.

When they ask, what is your intention with ebay.....has any one tried to say to make money and open a ebay store? Or has everyone kept to "to sell off things from around my house"?

Your goal to beat an MC999 is to ultimately get reinstated. How you get this accomplished is up to you.

Everyone suggests acting like a noob because it has been proven to work many times over.

I would not personally recommend stating you want to open an eBay store.

Keep in mind, you are calling on a brand new account. To eBay you are a new seller.

Also think of it from eBay's perspective, you are brand new to eBay...yet you seem to know about eBay stores and making money. Sounds like you might know a bit more then you let on. :boink:

You really think eB would buy that you made "this thing for a couple of friends" - that won't work - eB has heard it ALL.

The point is NOT to have to call eB and explain what you are doing - building your account slowly allows for slow transitioning to big sales.

I've just got a hot product that I'd like to sell a lot of. Before all the veterans jump on me...I am not saying that I am not following "stealth" on my other accounts, I just wonder where it would lead me to try this way. If I burn this account trying so be it. But I have been making these really cool boxes that go with a product and I can sell the product plus the box in a 1+1=3 profit mode. So I really AM making these things, instead of selling them empty, I also sell it with the product which I make $0 on cause you absolutely can not get this product anywhere wholesale...

but It is something I AM making, and I do want to try it maybe cause I really need higher limits. I miss 5000 $20,000 SO BAD lol ahaha....

(I am still working my other stealth accounts, slow and steady. But I just have wondered about this because they can't believe that EVERYONE who calls in for mc999 is a noob. There have got to be people out there who are like "I want to try and make money on ebay". SO why not try that route and see if it takes me anywhere?)

Also I don't exactly have to say start ebay store, but the idea is to come in saying I'd like to try to sell online and make money as opposed to saying "uh, i dunno, I need to sell some of the kids old clothes"

I think logic says that if you want to sell as a business on eB then you would have some eB experience, ergo, you are not telling them everything and they don't like that.

I'm a sucker for being impatient about things, but the tried and tested methods + member experience on here tells me it's the best way.

Saying that, it must be a scenario that crops up now and again and the last thing eB want is sellers that have no idea on how to use the platform, which is what you will pretend to be, a noob.

A great approach - as you know OP, you should open up more accounts and spread sales to build the accounts

Wish I could, I only get 30 IP addresses though, so I can make 3 accounts that rotate. As it is, sometimes I have to restart for a new ip 5 or 6 times before I can log in. Adding a 4th...well....I haven't gotten a new ip address that I could add a 4th account for in over a month so that's not even possible.

You really need to look into other methods of obtaining an IP address.

A pool of 30 IP's is not very large, so unless you assign 1 IP to 1 account you are going to be stuck with very few stealths. Even using the aforementioned technique, unless you have a way to control which IP you are given it would be very hard to be able to log into a specific account when you want.

If you can, look at getting another means of having Internet access.

I've come to the conclusion that every account gets MC999 when it starts selling. She even said this time "all new sellers". So I kinda wait for it....and today I got it after 1 week of selling. It took this account the longest to get it. The others got it the same day I listed the first item, on this account I had already sold 4 items by the time i got it.

I feel good about getting it, I can call in and confirm the account while I can still act like a noob and the questions are easy breezy.

It this your item.
Do you have it in your possession?
How are you mailing out sold items.

SO far, 3 stealth, all the same.

2 stealth put me back at 10/1000 and one at 25/1250.

So, I will wait these three out for natural increases in volume.

I kinda feel like getting the mc999 now, rather than later when I am an obvious business ebayer is easier. But, so far my oldest stealth is only 3 months old so we shall see.

Totally incorrect. I sell on 3-4 brand new accounts every single Sunday night and never get mc999 ever.

If you continue to get one mc999 after another like you post then you are doing something seriously wrong.

I have created and sold on 100s of new accounts this year and not one single mc999 on my own accounts yet.

Reconsider your thoughts as you seem to have a ton of problems.

How about learning how to avoid the mc999 and not believe the nonsense that all accounts get them as it is false.

Wasn't it established that you may have linked the accounts via your Gmail log in? If so, is that why you are getting the MC999?

Have you looked at the Huawai Mifi device OP? I've just got one, it's as fast as home Wifi and also gives a new IP when you switch it off/on. It's also wireless and runs on a battery, so you can charge it and then take it anywhere.

When you say "new," do you mean you list on stealth accounts the SAME DAY that you have created them?

Do not list the same day any account is made.

The longer you can wait after it has been created the better.

Right. This is what I figured. I just wanted to make sure.

It's funny, I've read on here 100000 times to wait a while before you list items on an ebay account you have just created. Well, human nature took hold of me and I got impatient on one account. I listed an item less than 24 hours after I created an ebay account. Guess what happened? Those nice red letters showed up when I went to log on. Yup. Suspended.

Thankfully no money in the account, but I did lose the time/money spent getting a tracphone, vanilla card, creating a bank account. Sucks, but now will I ever do it again? Nope. And anyone reading this thinking about trying to take shortcuts -- dont. It's just not worth it.

2-4 weeks of browsing and bidding - build up some credibility then list...slowly and household/craft items

I got my usual MC999 today when listing my first item. A toy, Auction, $.99.

IF YOU ARE NEW, DON'T BE AFRAID OF MC999. I am talking with one guy who got one, and walked away from that account in fear. This is now normal. 100% of my stealth go through this "process". and I've shared the stories and questions asked on the forum (because you have to call in for reinstatement) so I won't bore you here with that again since it's all the same questions.

But this time my limits are only 10/$500 which kinda sucks! :(
