Pre pay in the UK

Hi all !
I'm another one to join the list of suspended, and have found all the information on this site very interesting.
However, I'm based in the UK and as per usual over here, we get ripped off for everything, including the pre paid credit card.
I've looked at Simon.com, as suggested, and it's only geared towards US recipients, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a UK equivilent that doesn't charge a small fortune for the privilege ?
Or, is it possible for me to use bogus US details to get a gift account sent to my email address, and still use it to open a sellers account on Ebay?
I presume I would have to use the false details for the gift account, but they would be US details, whereas every other detail would be UK based.

Would appreciate any help with this !

I am looking for something similar to the simon.com where you can buy a pre paid visa and open up another seller account with ebay....

Seem to all be high monthly fees etc and you have to wait for the card through the post. I too am based in the UK and it is proving difficult to find one that doesn't charge you to set up them charge you a monthly fee for too..!>>!

Need one that can be done over email if possible so you get the card number, issue, expiry etc as when you put the postal address in don't you then have to put that address in on the ebay registration site too ??

Thanks in advance for any help offered in trying to get back selling on ebay...was supended due to be linked to another account my husband had and was suspended for selling an issue of Playboy which was bought off ebay the month before !!! great.....won't put me back on said because of being linked have to wait 12 month suspension, desperate to get back on to shift the mounds of items I am sitting on....running out of storage space.

if you get the cashplus one you can change the monthly subscription fee to a pay-per-use basis. I've done that and don't ever use it, so don't get charged anything after the initial fee

the cashplus one will come through in about 2 weeks from sign up. it works for ebay purposes too

Wondering if I get a pre pay visa card for ebay purposes only, which address do I put on the website when filling in details ?? As won't it get posted to that address ?? Forgive me if I am being a little thick but need it explaining how I purchase a pre paid card, which address to put on it and then which address to put on and open a new seller ebay account ??

you have to get the card in your real name and sent to your own address. you have to verify your details at the post office before they'll send it to you. after it comes through, you can change the address to whatever you want it to be.

you can set up the new ebay account now and enter a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, that needs to be the one you change your visa card to when it comes through and when you set up a seller account

Does that mean you are up and running again on ebay ??

Once the card comes through what happens about a bank account as well as they ask for both now ??

if you have to enter bank account details do the following:

1. enter your real sort code ie - 31-01-22

2. enter your real bank address

3. when it asks for your bank account number, if your real number is 26310022, enter 26312200

hi all,i,ve just recieved a pre paid card from:www.3vcash.com
i,ve not tried to register yet with ebay,as my paypal account is also suspended,but that aside,3v has no monthly charges,also it is a visa card,all you need to do when you recieve it is go to any payzone outlet (there all over the uk) purchase a £20 minimum ammount,plus a £3.00 charge,then you will recieve a 16 digit visa number recipt,when you,ve bought the voucher,an email will be sent to you,with the expiry date and a 3 digit cvv2 number,when your ready to use it,select visa as the payment method,enter the 16 digit visa number from your 3v reciept with the expiry date and the 3 digit cvv2 from that same recipt,apparently thats it!!
all you do is go to their website and register,(costs nothing!)then a few days later you will recieve your 3v card,hope this is of some help to uk users

Hi Sam - I also live in the UK & been looking at this site - It does specifically say "can't be used for registering with ebay" Is that just the usual "please be good citizens" speech or is it different somehow to alert ebay? - How did you get on?

Try it and see if it works. If it works-it works, if it doesnt it doesnt and you try again with another method. Natwest do prepaid gift cards but you must have an account with them. Go into a branch and ask

I find it very odd for a company to specifically say they can't be used for ebay. Why not? The law prevents that type of blacklisting.

Jamesy, is that the case if you purchase using a debit card? There are two options first option is to pay by debit card and you will recieve it within 7 to 10 working days. The second option requires you to go to the post office and pay there, if I was to opt for the first option and pay via debit card would I need to verify my details at the post office? As there is no mention of that at the moment.

I still have problems with accounts being linked, hopefully the cashplus method may prove successful.

Hope anyone can provide some input into this.
