can i use my cell number to sign up for ebay and paypal?
 

i have been suspended and i am doing everything i think i am suppose to do to get back to selling.
when i sign up for ebay can i use my real phone number or can i use my cell phone?
i already changed my email, opened up a new checking account, opened up a po box, and i am going to get a simon gift card.
so my concerns are the phone number

If youve never given your number out--to either ebay or paypal, then use it..
Is the number have the correct area code for the acct youre registering??

The last time I created new accounts with eBay and PayPal I used an AT&T Prepaid phone. All went fine until I wanted to use that number to confirm my location with PayPal. They have the ability to see wheter this is a cellphone or not. I was asked to provide a different number.

Why don't you get yourself a hassle-free phone number with Yahoo ($2.49/month) for example?

I only have cel phone service for my home account.I haven't had a home phone line in years.Never been an issue.I had my account stolen a few years back and had livehelp call me to verify my info.

and when you get the boot call your phone company and tell them your getting harassed and they will give you a new number for free most of the time:;)
