Business Account or Stealth
 

Hello thanks for viewing my thread. Recently restricted indefinitely from eBay for bs reasons.

My question is, would I be able to open a new eBay business account under a business name/tax ID? I would be using a new address and all other account info.

The reason I want to do this is to have an established name as I also have alot of sales outside eBay, but ebay offered leads to customers I wont have access to without using it. It would also be nice to not have to go through all the hassle of multiple stealth accounts.

You could open a new eBay Biz account etc. But you can not use the old PayPal account in any way that would link you to this eBay account. FOr example if you open a new Ebay/PP and go from there. But you develop relationships with customers on the side and you have them send bread to you on that other PayPal then you should be in the clear. But if somehow you try to link it or payments to a current eBay acct it will be doomed.

PayPal is odd because if eBay suspends you but leaves your PayPal intact you can still do business outside eBay, but once you try to do eBay again it will be shut down immediately. Even if you try to back door it with someone else selling then having payments sent to you.


Using the same PayPal account; no. Once you have have a suspended eBay account you can no longer sell on eBay and receive payments from eBay no matter the user name or Ebay account. As long as the PayPal is not limited you should still be able to receive payments on this particular account for outside eBay sales.

before starting again, check out the reasons.

They may appear bs to you. to ebay they were obviously serious enough to can your account.

You need to find out why and make sure you do not repeat the errors again.

Self-defeating otherwise.

Welcome to the forums.

The hassle of stealth accounts is also there to protect you in case 1 fails. You should not rely just on ONE account for all your operations.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have since started a few stealth accounts and I am just aging them at the moment. Still have an account to sell on, but its $19,000 less than my previous selling limits lol so that only does so much.

I know why I was restricted and its easily avoided which makes me feel really stupid haha.. When I attempt to get back on ebay with my business information I would definitely be creating a new paypal to go with it. Can I use the tax info to verify the accounts?

Have you used the tax info before on PP? Cant use any old info that has been used before...

No I will not be using any information that I have previously supplied ebay.

ebay is not doing tax yet.

It is paypal that asks for the info.

I received a few low DSR's for taking to long to ship, which was my fault and avoidable. Not really BS, I was just a little angry over the situation.

I meant to put ebay and paypal as I will not be using any information that I provided to either.
