Hey everyone, long story short but my account is about to become below standard, and due not being able to sell as much as I did last year I'll probably get the ole' boot from spiking percentage (not DSR but in cases :().

Here's my main concern: my address for Ebay purposes has been the address I had when I first started when I was 18 (in high school), so it's my parent's address. My mom also has a selling account...if I get indefinitely suspended will she as well?

She could. I'd say you have no real way to know until the hammer comes down.

Usually other accounts might get suspended simply by association.

How long have you been having issues with your own account?

Are you doing anything to try to improve the situation?

Let us know as we can hopefully make suggestions.

The whole aspect of linking suggests that it is POSSIBLE (rarely are things 100% with eBay). Work at improving your DSRs with cheap low-end items that you can ship quickly for solid feedback (one move to make)

I've only been having issues very recently. It's actually not a DSR problem-but a cases without resolution problem (I was unaware that these negatively effect your selling account).

My DSRS are all 4.8 and 4.9's (and they're all below the 1.00%; actually they're all below 0.7%.

But I have 3 cases with seller resolution on my account and it brings my average (barely) above the 0.3% allowed.

According to my seller dashboard during this upcoming evaluation I'll drop to below standard, and have restricted amount of listings.

My problem is I probably wont be able to sell more than I did last year (or even the same amount as last year)-and that percentage of cases against is going to increase. Since my next case doesn't roll off until April, I feel like I'm pretty much screwed.

Any help is greatly appreciated! And thanks for the help already!

@ms81, option of creating more stealth seller accounts to rotate sales is possible route

ms81 - I have the same problem as you for my USA sales, luckily not my UK sales though, I too didn't realise it was a problem until it was too late.

I don't think eBay will be changing their minds, so I wish you well in finding a way forward, I feel your pain!

her account will be suspended 100 guaranteed.

here is what i would do .. i would stop selling on this account .. and go stealth.

because if u continue selling on this account you risk having not just this account suspended/restricted but also your mothers.

this happened to me, my account got suspended and another relative that lives at the same address had their seller acct suspended as well because they were linked by physical address + ip!!!

Not true... Im in the UK though, but my account become below standard for slow shipping... I was banned from selling but other accounts at the same address have been fine. Have you not considered buying some stock and reselling it at cost just to save the account.

Won't work. It's a catch 22 as OP says his listings will be restricted once the account goes below standard. In effect once you get sucked into the eBay quicksand there is no way out other than stealth.

@OP, if your mom's account has ANY links to your own...quite the potential that hers will go down too - only time will tell
