My Ebay elvaluation day today....and guess what?????
 

My account was restricted indefinitely on Oct 10th, my dings on shipping time were from a family emergency a year ago. They were about to fall off due to age, and I did the BEST I could to get it back on track.

Today, my monthly evaluation.......I NOW am a Top Rated Seller!!!!!! Are you freakin KIDDING ME???

I would contact eBay about this and point out that your problem is in the past and was due to a family emergency. I would further tell them that the account is now actually in TRS status, which should PROVE that the problems are PAST problems. You don't have anything to lose. So, even if the account does not get re-instated, you will at least know that you TRIED to save it.

I did think of that.....but I am afraid all it will do is just annoy me and ruin my day! Because of all the horror stories I hear and Ebay not caring.

At the end of the day it sounds like you have nothing to loose, so I would go ahead and ring them

OK......so I called.....spent the last half hour on the phone with them. The only way I can get my account back is to fax records of my family emergency from a year ago.
At least this guy was nice, and seemed concerned, and didnt sound like an automated robot with the speil geez. AND I could understand what he was saying!

Anyway....I would have to get with my mom and try and get her hospital records?? Geez......and I somehow doubt I even get my account back anyway......after what I've read.
It will be faster and easier to just go Stealth!

I agree might as well give it a shot.

This is also why as much as it sucks and I feel for your family emergency. Any time it takes me more than 24 hours to ship and item. I always send a buyer a message apologizing saying I had to go out of my way to get the item from storage, something came up that normally doesn't happen. If they still leave you poor DSRs than nothing you can do about it. It has never happened to me but losing an account over DSRs especially shipping time would absolutely haunt me because it is avoidable.

I had the exact same experience, called in 5 different times about it. No appeals, totally unreasonable system. But give it a shot, mine was "below standard" for quite a while.

I gained two more power sellers and didn't notice I neededone positive to bring the % from 97.9 to 98 they waited did this evaluation late but there's a delay from actual to the performance page so I'm above standard

Yes, because of my family emergency back in the summer a year ago......I was fairly new to selling, well with the "new" rules with Ebay anyway....I used to sell some years ago, had my account 14 years.....but I was not aware of these DSR ratings so much. After I had already listed 60 items....my mom had her stroke, didnt think about it, and drove 500 miles to be with her.
Realized I had sold things, emailed all my buyers trying to explain my situation.....most DID understand, but 7 -10 people still rated on slow shipping.
Then around Oct last year, Ebay comes in and restricts my selling limits, and has paypal hold funds until 3 days after delivery. I overcame being behind and dealt with Ebays rules. Had good ratings since and was below standard....until Saturday. :ban?:

You sure you have not been linked to one of your previous suspended accounts? Since i see this as the only reason why they would suspended a perfectly good account...
If it was related to your crisis which was almost a year ago, i am sure the suspension would have happened sooner..

Yes.....I am sure, as I have never had any other accounts. Just had the one for 14 years.

They put me on "Below Standard" last Oct, held paypal funds and limited my selling amounts.

They "got rid of me" 10 days before they aged off and became Top Rated Seller.

Yeah....that's aweful!
