eBay & Paypal registered information may be different? Help..
 

I bought an eBay account with 1300+ seller feedback with no neg feedback. the account has been opened 10 years ago. I changed the address (same state), phone and the email. I did not change the name. It's been 2 days and everything seems normal.

Now, I am gonna open up a paypal acct. but i dont know if I should change the registered name on ebay and open a paypal account on the name I changed to.

Or, not change the name on ebay, and open a paypal acct with different name, and link it to ebay. At this point, ebay and paypal names will be different.

Or, I should open a paypal acct with the existing name on ebay, however if I do so, getting verified with existing name will be an issue. And also paypal will ask for tax information after a while, how am I gonna provide tax info under existing name.

Please help, show me a way to go through..

So u purchase a sellers account , did this account have a Paypal account linked to it before because switching Paypal accounts will be a huge issue . I'd definitely wait for advice before playing around with this account , the more changes you do the more you are risking suspension , you don't want to make it look like you purchased an account , ebay will suspend you for this your not allowed to just trade or sell accounts and changing information too rapidly will trigger a restriction

Buy the Paypal account to is a big obstacle if u have no access to the one that was previously used than I'm not sure it will operate too long

Yes, the account had a paypal acct linked before, but no longer. I am actually waiting for the advices before doing anything. Changing address phone number is not a big deal because people can move. However changing the name or linking a brand new paypal account is an issue. I dont know what to do.

What happened to the paypal account? Was it suspended, needs IRS info etc etc? It is very dangerous to change paypal information on such an old account, move slowly.

the paypal acct belongs to former owner of ebay acct. he doesnt let me use it.

Really to operate the account in the best manner you need the previously linked PayPal account. Did you buy this though the forum?

Will that even work adding another Paypal to an ebay, Is there a legit reason that would allow you to do this??
