I am a small time seller who was suspended awhile back for vero violations. I have since created several new ebay accounts which have all been linked and suspended. Some made it about 8-12 months, others only a few days. I have a website that is set up w/ a paypal account from 2001 (9/10/01 oddly enough), anyway that paypal account is linked but I need to keep it for the website. Here is what I want to do. Create a new ebay and paypal account using my girlfriends info and ss#. I bought a secondary computer and was planning on using it for just ebay/paypal/email/auctivia. I have wild blue satellite internet and in order to change my IP I need to unhook it overnite, so I was wondering if a second modem running to the second pc would give a separate IP? Would I have any problems using witopia/VPN? Whats my best bet because I want to keep the two computers from getting linked, if I can get separate IP's I don't have to worry about any of the cookies because they will be on separate computers w/ separate Ip's. So, if anyone has any insight or can foresee any problems w/ this please fire away...

Why not just use dial-up (make sure you sign up for one that changes IP) on the second computer?

Doh! - Just saw the satellite connection you mentioned.

Maybe you can try changing your MAC Address.

Well, I just talked to wild blue and they said having two modems will not give me two separate IP's, the only way, they say, is to get a second dish. I think I would rather go that route then have to suffer w/ dial up. still looking for other options..

I have been running over ten accounts on the same ip address for years and have never had any accounts go down because of linking with ip addresses so in my opinion it is not a huge deal especially if you're using two computers where no cookies or anything is shared. Believe me nothing is going to happen, you're only at risk if you're cross using e-mail addresses or any other information and paypal accounts.
