MC999 Listing Violation payment question
 

I looked around but I couldn't find anything about this so I decided to make an account and just ask.

I got a MC999 listing violation on an item after I had already been payed for, shipped, and gotten positive feedback on. I actually had a quantity of 4 on the listing and sold all of them to three different people.

On the My Ebay page the item was removed from the sold list and the money was removed from the total sales on the side, but on paypal I still have the money in the account (I cannot touch it yet for another couple weeks because it is a newly made account).

My question is is ebay/paypal going to remove my money from my paypal account and return it or something even though the customers already have their purchases and are happy with what they bought? Oh and the violation is because it is a virtual good, so its not like it was a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ the buyers didn't know about.

eBay doesn't allow virtual goods, they wont refund the money; however, do let the money sit another 1-2 weeks even after the holding period. After the 1-2 week, withdraw very slowly, your account is very weak & last thing you need is a 180 day waiting period.

PayPal will only refund the money if the buyers make a claim for it

Okay thanks guys! So if I just let the money sit it will be safe? What would happen if I tried to withdraw it all as soon as it became available, like would they stop me or would they just put future restrictions on my account? Its about 150 dollars we are talking about, and there are also other funds in paypal from other virtual goods sales that were never flagged as well.

Yes I did, so when you say they won't refund the money you mean they won't take the money away right?

What JamesNorth said is right, it would only be refunded IF the buyer opens a dispute like any normal transaction.
