Can new stealth acct link base on pictures?
 

old suspended account is over 90 days passed so even listing and pictures for old account can no longer found on eBay.

Do you think if I, remove all picture data and information using tools and re-name pics too and also flip them so eBay can't find similarities if they search by megapixel and angle (same thing Google Search by Image Does).

Will I be fine? everything on the account is new and different last name and address but same state.


Its really hard for me to take new pictures since I rented a luxury house to take pictures. I sell small furniture and decor them on pictures in a house.


So what are the chances getting linked based on the pictures if I even remove all pictures data and flip them too and also the old suspended account pictures can no longer pulled up since passed 90 days.

Chances are high on getting linked via photos - easy link - have to avoid it.

I would just take new photos, some people even have dedicated camera's to each account.

Sometimes I go with stock if it becomes a hassel, but obviously hand taken photos stand out more.

I would not flip them - same data is still being uploaded. How many pictures are we talking?

Its 4 pictures. I will rename them and also remove the data on them and camera date too and also flip them so they be changed in angle view. I am uploading them directly to eBay. No link or website host.

Get photoshop and use the Save For Web feature, it removes all previous data and essentially makes it brand new in terms of data.

If you have a lot of photos, you can take it a step further and use photoshop actions to automatically convert hundreds of photos.

That would work - maybe add a username stamp to make sure they stay your own

Open Batch Purifier, click on add folder, click next, click select all, next and you are done.

Honestly, I don't think they will. I don't think there systems have that much linking power. You should be fine. But if you want to be 100% sure just change the name of the photo

When you drag a picture into the program...you don't actually see the image being stripped....It does it in a split second.

If you want to see if it actually works.... Open the program, drag the file you want to clean BUT at the same time, look at the file size...it will be reduced by a few kb....this is the data being removed.

Sorry but that's just bad advice...People HAVE been linked through their images...The whole point of doing the cleaning of the metadata is so this linking can be avoided at all cost.

Issue is a manual review.

I keep tabs on suspensions from many users.

Have had more than one where the common factor was photos.

These ecommerce sites look for similarities.

same photos are just that. We also recommend avoidng stock photos where feasible.

so where exactly does the data come from? the camera or when it is uploaded to ebay?

also is a different camera necessary with different accounts?

The data on the images come from either the Camera OR Smartphone being used.

No, same Camera can be used....this is why we recommend cleaning the images....so there is no need to use multiple Camera's, it would get extremely expensive this way.

Ok, see I don't understand this. I was going to use the same camera for my stealth account and just take the pics with a different backdrop.. But now someone just said they can link you from the camera you use? How do they do that? Also I have a Mac not a PC so would that stripping program you guys are talking about still work?

You should look into WineBottler WineBottler |*Run Windows-based Programs on a Mac
This allows you to run individual programs in a windows environment.

You can also convert to different file types (.gif, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .tif, etc) because they are all saved differently and wouldn't be the same *data* essentially.
