Question regarding IP address.
 

My own old account got suspended 2 months ago. Now, I started using my cousin account ( different last name and address). His account was opened 2 yrs ago but never sold anything on it or bought. So we started listing slowly on cousin account and didn't have problem.

Its time for us to call and increase the selling limit. Now, I remember about 5 months ago, one time when I was at my cousin house I logged in from his home internet to my old account which suspended now. So I am guessing his IP address is recorded with my suspended acct too.

I am using a new computer for new account too. What do you think? Will it get linked?

The IP address of my cousin may have changed since 5 months ago but I am not sure. Let's say its not changed. Will it be linked since a suspended account used this IP address 5 months ago for only one time?

As I said, different last name too and everything.

What do you think guys?

Firstly off you would have been best off creating your own stealth, not using your cousins.

Why do you think you need to call in to increase limits? Let them increase naturally. In the mean time create more stealths to sell more.

What did you use to log into your old account? His computer or laptop?

If it was your own device via his internet and he logged on with the same IP address then yes there will be a link, not a very strong one but a link none the less.

1- Reason, I can not create my own is my sells will be over 20k per year for sure and PayPal wants SSN after I hit 20k. I have a good paypal account with my ssn on it but ebay account of that PayPal under my name is suspended. Any suggestion?


2- US eBay wont increase naturally, you have to call and they want to see you been doing good.


3 - I logged in with a my own laptop via his internet. However, now I used a whole new laptop and my cousin account is over 2 yrs old but never sold anything. As I said, different last name and address and everything.

You need to seriously READ the forum to see how to deal with a stealth account.

We suggest to avoid EVER calling in for limits increases because of the risk of consequences ( ID etc). US accounts do increase naturally. There are many posts with increases mentioned.

If you are selling you need to spread your sales. You also need to understand that you are earning money so you pay taxes.

You must consider making EIN & taking professional tax advice.

Best advice: do NOT call and asking for increased selling limit. Let the account naturally grow and get OTHER accounts created + built.
