MC999 eBay account restriction

So, this is my account that I created last night and listed 5 generic iPhone 4 cases on. Within 1 hour I get this email above. I also changed the user ID right after I created the account. Aside from those 2 actions (immediate listing and changing user ID), I had done nothing else questionable. I am about to make the phone call and see if it can be salvaged.

Suggestions before I make the call???

Ok, so I call eBay up. I had a 7 minute wait before they answered. And the conversation went like this:
Me: Look yo, I dont know whats up, but yall best be unrestricting my account before my country arse drives to Cali and i go gansta on all yall.
eBay Rep: Ok Mr Mr, we are going to lift that limitation right now. We are very sorry for angering you. Please do not come to California and visit us. Furthermore, we are increasing your limits to 1000/1000000. Please accept this as a token of our utmost apologies. Please hold for the President.
eBay President: Mr Mr, as the CSR said, we are extremely sorry that we crossed you. The robot that did this to your account is being disassembled as we speak. We will not bother you or your account ever again. We are so sorry Mr Mr.

So anyhow, that's how i would have liked it to have gone, with the exception of the ghetto slang. But actually it had gone pretty smooth. They answered, I acted like a frightened new customer like "Oh my gosh, all day this has been bothering me. I had no clue what I had done wrong. What did I do?" CSR chuckled and said "Oh nothing, this is just what we do so we can get to know you and you can get to know us" They said this is normal for them to do this, and asked what I was selling and what price range. The phone system knew my stealth name from the phone number I called in from, and had only asked my zip code for verification. No database questions or personal info at all. I did however make sure to call around 11pm EST (8pm PST) hoping all departments were not opened, especially since it said I could call 24 hours. The account's restriction has been lifted!

Idk, I haven't looked yet. I'll prob just wait til Sunday night to list and do a 7 day auction on them. I thought about asking for the category bump, but I thought why push it at this point when I had accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. I would have slammed my head in the door if I asked then he opted to do the prostate exam.

Any time, when I call them, I have a computer and iPad with all the necessary information.

You did very well, don't worry about the limits. I have one account that require papers, I will take my time. All my other accounts are doing well.

it was pretty much cake. just have your info ready as if it was you and you wasnt reading it off paper. good luck. let us know the result. dmshark said it best, even if it fails, you gain experience from the call.

This is standard procedure when listing on a brand new account, you should age them a bit more

I called it the NEW mc999 so members who know the difference between them.

The NEW mc999 happens before you list an item. Around Sept and through current ebay started this NEW mc999 to force you to call them on random new accounts.

It does not happen to all accounts but happens to a random number of accounts.

The NEW mc999 is not the same once you list an item. Different completely.

Do they still do this new mc999 thing? I haven't gotten it myself and I went thru like 10 accts already. I'm still on 7 accts, abandoned a couple, but haven't gotten anything like this since nov. I'm guessing they wanted to make sure that everyone was in line for the holidays

they are often a lot tighter around the holidays when it comes to making new accounts, I believe some people have complained about getting it, but not as often

Did you use google voice #'s to start selling on them?

I did and i still do.
