Paypal Request Bank Details -
 

I have been setting up an account, and buying through paypal. Went to my account, Paypal had requested that banking details be given. Ebay + paypal is linked so the first name can be changed but the surname is fixed. The bank account details i give will not have the same name as the ebay account?. They want to take a small amount of money from the account.?
is there a problem if the bank account doesnt match the name in Paypal?

What do you mean they want to take a small amount of money? They usually deposit a small amount of money into it to verify the account. If paypal is asking you to enter a bank account, if you have one then just enter the account and then verify the deposits that they do.

Also, Don't go into a panic if you login to your paypal account and the first thing you see is them asking you to add a bank account. That is one of the pages that comes up with new accounts. Just click the go to my account or the my account tab. You are not required to add a bank account, it is just one of their methods to verify you.

Maybe i read wrong , they will deposit small amount
The bank account details - name - address will not match
Are the just interested in the account number - and the verify number?
Will the bank pick up that paypal is depositing into account with different name?

Paypal does not get the name, they are using you to verify the account. They figure if you can see the deposits into that account then it must be your account.

The banks do not see it either, you have to remember everything is comuterized just about. In banking it is all about numbers....
