| | | | | VictorWoo | 03-29-2014 03:04 PM | MC999 changes to your selling limit Hey guys,
now I'll go straight to the point: lately I've been getting these new kind of limits which are called mc999 changes to your selling limits or something like that. Meaning that after a week or so it changes the selling limit to absolute 0.
And I've been getting the kind of limits quite a lot for past few months.
What I do not understand is that these limits come to absolutely new accounts. I have never listed anything or sold anything there, and the limit comes after about a week. I use different IPs and numbers and VBAs and I can't think of anything that can be linked with. This become quite an issue nowadays for me, and I don't want to believe that I'm the only one here, yet I haven't found any answer. I even tried calling them few times but they refused to provide any kind of information as to why I got the limit in the first place.
I would very much appreciate any kind of information you could provide. Thanks!
P.S. I'm talking about US accounts and US ebay. |

you want to change the limits of your sales through ebay a few months will raise your limit up, so you have to call ebay support for further assistance | Sorry but calling into ebay is not a good option.... |

so you need to add a vcc on ebay, and need good feedback from buyers, so in a few months it will increase your limit up | What does adding a vcc to ebay do?
explain that
 |
| GreenBean | 03-31-2014 02:20 AM | Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit you are mistaken about the vcc for ebay. Check what is right |
Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit @OP, what kind of IP are you using? |
| Mr. Invisible | 04-01-2014 04:57 PM | Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit ^^^^^^ What he said, most likely that is your problem right there. |
| Grimmejaw | 04-01-2014 07:10 PM | Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit Yes sadly ebay is still imposing the new mc999 on new sellers accounts, which are almost impossible to resolve unless you get a really easy going customer rep. Some veterans stealthers believes it's google voices or any call forwarding service in general. How long have you aged your account before turning into a seller? I turned 3 accounts into sellers last month and 2 out of the 3 didn't get harressed by the new mc999 but the other one wasn't so lucky. I'm just hoping ebay ends the new mc999 soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to keep it as the standard procedure from now on. |

Doubt they will ever bother to withdraw the MC999.
Sadly they are catching a few too many fish/accounts with it.

| Grimmejaw | 04-02-2014 10:22 AM | Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit Yes Greenbeen I agree. I'm just hoping ebay would end the "new" mc999 which are also known as the automated limit reduction which results in data based questions if you call in. I'm sure there is a way to work around it, I believe Corlone mentioned it could be caused by google voice, but I have mixed results. Going to try to do my own experiment this month and see what variables I can find that triggers the automated limit reduction aka "New" mc999 |

Now problem is the same, recently yet again I've been having a load of these "0 selling limits". Point is that after creating account, confirming it and agreeing with paypal terms etc, ebay straight away with no notification gives this 0 selling limits. Now out of 30 accounts only 4 did not get this limit. I would very much appreciate if anyone could share their experience so far and thoughts about this issue and what might be causing it.
Cheers ! |

| Bilibala | 11-23-2014 07:36 AM | Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit I got an mc999 indefinite selling restriction back in July. I didn't sell anything on eBay ever since but still get emails on deals to list. I went into my account last night to find on my dashboard 100/$5000 limit, I then tried to list something and I got the message that my account is restricted. So my understanding is that i'm supposed to see 0/$0 if restricted, so do you know what could be going on here? |
Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit I would guess its an IP issue. |
| Dmshark25 | 11-23-2014 03:38 PM | Re: MC999 changes to your selling limit No if it's restricted you can still see the limits you had , and eBay promotional emails never update there mailing list to exclude restricted accounts
I have accounts over 2'years suspended still receiving emails to sell, had suspended accounts get emails saying your a TRS NOW
Usually the email that you got saying you are restricted will have steps to appeal the decision, if it doesn't than it is usually not appealable | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:03 PM. | |
