I have set up nearly 40 accounts the past year and everything was going fine. But the last week i set up 3 accounts and then i go and list 1 item and i would get suspended within an hour. I am stumped as to why this is happening all of a sudden! I wonder if it's something new that they are doing. I set up a few accounts a few weeks ago and i was able to list with no problems.

| GotTheEbayBoot | 05-29-2014 12:50 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item Yes, mailing address is made up. All my accounts have different info.
I'm going to try to post something small (phone case) today on a new account i made yesterday and see how it goes. This has never happened before, i was always able to post and not get my listing ended. I wonder if it has something to do with the recent hack and now ebay changed something. |
| nodeal | 05-29-2014 12:59 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item you list items same day you make account? |
| GotTheEbayBoot | 05-29-2014 01:12 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item I usually list the day after or few days after, never had problems... i know it's against the rules for stealth, but i do it anyways. |
| pokerpro | 05-29-2014 01:54 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item Well, I'd call in on one of them and see what they say. It may be something really easy and simple that they want to ask you. I mean, you have nothing to lose. |
| yotano211 | 05-29-2014 02:30 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item I would never call ebay for something as minor like this.
I dont know what to say to the OP but I always age the accounts a min of 30 days to list something. |
| pokerpro | 05-29-2014 07:57 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item Well, I would call them...in fact, I don't see why you wouldn't?? There is no down side...it's already lost, so what's the big deal....to me, it makes no sense not to?? |
| joew8989 | 05-29-2014 09:42 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item I always get this even after I wait a month, I've got an account I am going to wait 2 months to see if I still get it. I call in and usually get questions about what I plan to sell, how I'm going to ship and I get reinstated. The last time I called in the Rep told me its policy to make you call in if account is less than 2 months old and you list something.
If you don't call they wont restore the account |
| GotTheEbayBoot | 05-30-2014 01:30 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item I was able to list a phone case, they must be more strict now with what you are selling.
I am curious to call in to restore one of the accounts, but i have a bad feeling because i only have 1 cell phone that was used for a suspended account. Maybe i should pick up pre-paid phone to call in. |
| pokerpro | 05-30-2014 03:02 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item Or a public pay phone, if you can find a working one these days. lol |
| black_label | 05-30-2014 03:47 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item All they are going to do is repeat your registration information to you and you agree.
Then they will ask you what kind of selling you plan on doing just tell them "things I no longer need"
Then they will ask you to hang up so they can call your phone back. Make sure that you can answer your phone when they call.
After that, the limit will be lifted.
This isn't new and is covered in other places I have found on the web. I don't know why no one ever talks about it here. |
| Dmshark25 | 05-30-2014 04:28 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item It has been covered in detail on many threads, all last year, a lot of questions asked here sometimes have so many threads that it gets so repetitive and silly to keep repeating the same thing over and over
Yes many things we will answer but topics like you have mentioned were so exhausted , if the search function is used you will find at least 15 threads with detail conversations with the eBay rep on this |

Since last year, we have run over 30 threads on MC999 and associated hassles with new accounts. Many of those threads were pages loooooooong.
Stop implying otherwise.

| GotTheEbayBoot | 06-01-2014 02:08 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item Might be easier just to let those accounts go, i really don't want to call in. Especially when the phone on record is different from the phone i will be using to call in. |

| black_label | 06-09-2014 02:26 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item Personal experience.
I no longer search this forum for answers because although everyone complains about topics being rehashed, many if not all of the topics are years old. |
| bjammin | 06-09-2014 02:55 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item You have absolutely ZERO to lose by calling in. Make sure you use a different phone number than your other accounts. I have had to call in twice, and it worked out just fine. I like to call after 6pm PST. I also like to play as stupid as possible. My opinion, is ppl like helping stupid ppl. It's like they have done their goodwill for the day by helping the idiot who was lucky enough to get his computer turned on today.
The only reason you have not to call in is fear of being told no. You need to get over that and try to save this account. Trust me, I was scared too. I did not want to do it. But afterwards, I was glad I did. It definitely made the next time easier. Think of the time you have put into this account and the money. |

Haha yeah, I do the same. People like to feel good about themselves and helping an idiot over the phone gives them that. The account is already restricted so what's the worst that can happen by calling in? It stays restricted? Lol |
| brownsauce215 | 06-09-2014 08:10 PM | Re: MC010 eBay account restriction after 1st item The time it takes to make each account is a major factor. If I spend an hr per account, I wanna get PAID dammit!
