MC999 Changes/Suspension

I just recevied the following from Ebay:
After review and careful consideration, we've taken the following action on your eBay account:
- Indefinitely restricted your account from listing in the Memorabilia category. You won't be able to list items in this category any longer.
- Item listing(s) have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.
- We have credited any associated fees to your account.

We felt it was necessary to take this action to keep eBay safe. However, you can still list and sell items in other categories.

When we review an account for category restriction, we consider many things, including:
- How much history the seller has selling in this category
- Positive selling Feedback the seller has received for sales in this category
- Any Feedback that questions the authenticity of the items
- Unresolved disputes with buyers for these items
- Whether the seller has followed eBay policies in the past
- Previous account suspensions
- The current status of the seller's account
- Any supplier information that can't be verified

It's important that you understand that you're restricted from listing any items in this category with any eBay account. Please remember that you can't use other accounts or register new accounts to sell these items on eBay. If you do, your accounts could be limited, restricted, or suspended.

Going forward, we encourage you to continue to build a positive selling history on eBay and to follow all eBay policies. To learn more about eBay policies and rules for listings, go to:

It was out of the blue and I have good feedback. Can I get this restriction lifted?

Re: MC999 Changes/Suspension

This Usually happens in newer accounts, that do not have a selling history built up yet.

EBay likes sales to build very slow and steadily rise.

Basically just do what they have stated in the letter , continue to sell well and build feedback

You may be able to get he restriction lifted if u send in the appropriate documents but even if you do it all comes down to eBays decision

I guess if you are selling Autographed memorabilia I'm sure they will let you know what documents they need from what company that proves the authenticity

Or whatever your selling they will let you know what documents they need and if you can send them in they will consider to reinstate that category but nothing is certain with eBay

I went though this same thing, but it was not a new account...10 year old one. A "non-friend" just started vintage stuff as new reproduction and ebay made my life miserable...took me 4 months to get things straight, and left alone. I'd love to hear what type of memorabilia you got in "trouble" for.

Nothing different between 10 years age account with no eBay log in history and 2 month old. If you 10 yrs account but you never log in or freeze it for long time. You must start like a new account. That's what I think.

P.S. I live in my country. I have 5 US steal eBay accounts. They still work fine for 3-4 years until now. But you need to do every things under eBay condition. You will alive.

Re: MC999 Changes/Suspension

just FYI...this was a 10 year old account that had 10-15 items a week sold on it, every week...and that's my point....age to ebay does not account for anything really.

eBay care only monthly frees. In the past they never charge the fees to shipping cost. But now they do...
