Can eBay accounts get linked by being too similar??
 

First off, please do not tell me to read the stealth book, I've read it numerous times.

I have two accounts that got the MC011 restriction today, and when I called in about it the representative asked me if I knew of another account (which was mine). He said the accounts were under the same name and created on the same day. I also listed similar items on the accounts. I used my husband's name which is a VERY common first and last name. Can that information alone get my accounts linked? Any tips?

There are way too many unknown variables with your question.

1. What did you use to call in, Tracfone, GV?
2. You used your husband's name, was the address different?
3. New IP, CC, New User Account, etc?
4. How similar were the items listed? Similar Titles, pictures?

1. I used my cell phone to call in, which has never been a problem..
2. Different address
3. New user account and ip
4. Same categories

When you register a phone number with Ebay/PP and call in....their system will match that number to the account that matches that phone number.

I have made many accounts with the same name , same items, and some are almost 2 years old and made same day or close

Name and items alone will not link you, that is Alone

However if you just started operating stealth it's not recommended, because one small mistake that may of just gone un noticed with a stealth with different name and items , will form a solid link on the account with the other similarities

Many people have the same name and many have same items, so alone this is not a strong link, but u need to run flawless to make this work

One slip on logging in with a bad IP, could be enough to create a solid link

If you sell the same items make sure u clean all metadata from the pictures

There is so many things needed to be done , and I wouldn't recommend running your accounts like this, it will leave your Margin for error basically nothing

And if you are starting out you will make tons of mistakes before you get to the point where you are able to operate correct

I despair.

ANYONE making a new stealth account must appear a new person for ebay/paypal.

Not doing that made that account faulty.
