MC999 suspended with no reason mentioned

I am new to this forum. I am still reading through the forum, using the search function, to get info on the MC999 suspension. While I have learned a lot already from previous posts, I still have some questions please.

This is what happened;

I have an eBay account for a few years. Never used it much. I made 4 purchases from which the last two were this month. Always paid promptly and left good feedback.

Yesterday, I decided to try and start selling myself. I wanted to start with a small sale to learn how things work and then slowly work my way up. My first sale was "Bali three postcards". Start at USD 2.99 and buy it now price of USD 6.

Overnight, I got an email from eBay that said;

Hello .........,
After reviewing your eBay account, recent activity has raised serious security concerns. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely.
- Item listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.

You won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account. Any outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.

We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay community.

When I tried to log onto my eBay account I got this message;

What do they mean with "Serious Security Concerns"?? Cannot be related to the postcards right??

* I recently changed my eBay name (about 2 weeks ago)
* I live in Indonesia (expat)

try to ring them. your account probably been hacked. and the only way now is the stealth guide. :)

If this was a nice account, just move on. Instead of pursuing it, just make a couple more.

They wont give you a reason and if they did they would lie about it.

If this isn't a stealth account and has all your correct details on it, ring eBay.

They'll probably ask you to send in a picture of your ID to prove your name/address.

Welcome to the forums.

Could be the recent change of info...could be the trigger word "Bali" in the title...many options exist.

It would be easier to learn stealth and make new account but if this is in your real info...might be worth a shot to push back

O'd have to call them and make someone squirm or tell me what was up....No way would I go quietly if all your saying is correct....

I'd make new accounts as well, but I'd make sure I talked to some in the USA, in the Trust & Safety Dept....no way an overseas rep, that will not help at all.

I just got the same dreaded death mail today from ebay first thing as I woke up in the morning. Followed all stealth procedures 100/5000 100% feedback stealth account toast for no reason. I was probably selling to much on the account that's the only reason I can think of. But sometimes their is just no rhyme or reason to why they do this to people. They're a company gone mad with power. Oh well you live and you learn.

I would just make a new account bro
