If they have your real information, sure.

Why bother about having hassles for that small amount of money. Pay the fees, move on.

If they account is not suspended and you want to ditch it, change all your information on it. Sometimes eBay will only both with your latest info.

I also get collection letters of past residents of homes I've rented and mailboxes I've rented. If you get a collection letter you to you can write "FOE" on it unopened, then go to the post office (not your home) and have it returned.

FOE = "forwarding order expired"

They'll think the person moved.

They can and they will send it to a collection agency who will hound you with letters and phone calls until you tell them, in writing, to stop. Then, you have to send them a letter, within 30 days of receiving their first letter to you, requesting that they give you proof that you owe this account and that this account even belonged to you. If they do not respond to your request within 30 days then they cannot continue to bother you with any communications. When you send the first letter, also send a separate letter requesting that they no longer contact you via phone. By law, they must stop calling you on the phone once you have asked them, in writing, to do so.
I know it sucks to even think of giving them one penny, but it just isn't worth it. Think about it this way, it is probably going to cost them more money to collect what they say you owe than what you actually owe....
