Ahhh... The classic "Its not fair, why can THEY sell this and I can't???"
This has been happening since 1997 or so. eBay takes down some listings and not others. The people who have had their listings removed are outraged. They cannot believe that eBay works this way. But that is the way eBay DOES work. They want to know how they can sell their item, or how to take down the other sellers. They complain to eBay and submit item numbers to show them what others are selling. And then... nothing happens.
The fact is, this is just the way it is on eBay. Who knows WHY you were singled out? I don't. And nobody else here does either. It could have been a report from a competitor, bad luck, someone having a friend inside eBay... Nobody knows.
All you can do is try on another account. That and find something else to sell. Because if you keep relisting the same item after eBay takes it down, they will close your account altogether. Sorry if I am sounding harsh, but that is the way the cookie crumbles. It is NOT fair. But there is also nothing that you can do about it.
Wasting time and energy fuming about it won't help you. I know, because I fumed PLENTY the first time it happened to me. I was sitting there with bills to pay, NO SALES and watching others happily making their money. Why wasn't eBay bothering them too? Why were they picking on me? It wasn't fair! I was ANGRY! I WAS GONNA OWN EBAY AFTER MY LAWYER GOT THROUGH WITH THEM!!!
And then my lawyer told me that eBay could do ANYTHING THEY LIKE with their website and there was nothing that I could realistically do about it. I was STILL fuming. I stopped listing on eBay for a couple of months.
Don't make the same mistake I made. Learn stealth, make new accounts and find other things to sell. Because you are talking about ONE ITEM! And there are MILLIONS of items out there. |
