What if they ask for my SSN??

I had an Ebay account previously but I was suspended a year ago. My paypal was suspended forever. (for both, I think I have provided my SSN to them, but still got suspended)

I read the Ebay Stealth and have some questions:

If I opened a new account under a new name, name phone number, new everything, and one day they ask for ID verification. Will they cross check and see that I once had an Ebay account before?

For Paypal, if one day they ask for ID verification, will they do the same (cross check that I once had a suspended Paypal account)?

THey'll always crosscheck and see if you have other accounts. This is why you follow the guidelines of the stealth guide... to separate yourself from each account.

If you do this correctly, they won't link your older accounts or any accounts in that matter.

you never give your social, this is the whole point of going stealth

Re: What if they ask for my SSN??

But if somehow Ebay suspended me and ask for my ID, I have to give it to them, is that right? or if Paypal ask for it?

Re: What if they ask for my SSN??

It has been too long, I might confuse myself. For Ebay, I gave them my driver licence. For Paypal, I don't remember.

Say Ebay asked for my driver license, I have to give it them, don't I?

Re: What if they ask for my SSN??

If u gave them ur Drivers license before when u got suspended, why would u do it over again? you will get caught and get suspended again...

Re: What if they ask for my SSN??

So, if that happened again, and they ask for my driver license, I should just let go of that account and move to another one, is that correct?

Re: What if they ask for my SSN??

if u used the same personal info that got u banned, they will link it. go stealth by being someone else that's virgin, fresh new account with nothing bad attached to it.

Re: What if they ask for my SSN??

Sorry for the confusion, I meant that I used new personal info. New name, new phone, new address, new paypal, new everything, and if in case they still ask for my driver license, will they link it?

SaiJin 08-25-2014 11:17 PM

Re: What if they ask for my SSN??

You cannot use the same info on anything more than once.

This is the rule of thumb. If they ask for your id again, you cannot reuse your drivers license . It doesn't make sense right? To give them your name which is A but your stealth accounts name is B?

So, if I somehow get to that point, I can't give them my driver license (or even I did that, that won't work), I should just let go of that account, right?

Yes. If it gets to that point, it means they are suspicious of the account anyway. If you follow the stealth rules, this should not happen.

The most common reasons for them asking for ID is selling high-risk items, or selling too much too fast. Both of those things can be avoided.

Of course, other things can trigger and ID request as well, but they are more rare.

Both ebay and paypal can ask for ID.

You need to make sure your new stealth account has no links to old suspended info.

You would avoid name variations for a start.

Read over the forum as solutions are there.

If you cant provide the STEALTH proof needed then you would have to let it go...basically-speaking

The stealth book said one option for the name is to have like a nickname or misspelled name. When you said "avoid name variation", what do you mean by that?
