ebay restriction problem Vero

Hi

About 2 months ago we had our ebay account restricted for 7 days from listing anything new as we had a vero issue with one product

1 week ago it happened again but this time for a month. We dodnt believe that this vero was just and just might call ebay and see what they say.

Anyway, I am thinking of buying a count of these forums but I am a little confused because of IP tracking etc. will we need to use a VPN if we buy a new account? ISP has a static IP

My plan is to build this account slowley

Cheers:confused:

No need for a VPN. If your IP is static you can use a dongle or phone tethering in the UK

I would also suggest learning stealth first. Buying an account can save you time and effort and there are some good sellers on here, but if you don't understand stealth, you could make a mistake and lose the account.

Also, if you continue listing this same item, you will have problems. If your items are genuine, you might try contacting the VERO member and asking for permission to sell. If not, then I recommend finding something else to sell, because the VERO member will probably take down your new listings as well.

Some VERO members will give you their permission, they just want to make sure the items are genuine. Others are not so nice and would prefer nobody sold their products on eBay, EVER. All you can do is try.

Jeff has provided some great advice. Your product will still be hit with vero take downs using another account unless you gain permission from the rights holder.

Also, for future reference, if you get hit with vero, do not re list until you have permission. You just put your account in to more trouble and the next step could be a permanent ban.

@OP, welcome to the forums. Is your goal to keep selling this risky product?

If you're going to keep selling VERO items, you better get to making or buying stealth account, you're gonna need 'em.......There are only 2 kinds of VERO sellers:

1. Those that have been suspended. 2. Those that are going to get suspended.

Why suggest buying an account then? Not fair to the sellers to have their accounts sold and used for VeRo. Majority of sellers here instruct their buyers to avoid Vero items.

Most buyers turn around and blame the sellers for the suspensions.

My point was to illustrate that if you are hell bent on selling VERO, you're going to need lots of accounts, as they will go down like dominoes.

.....get the magnifying glass out and maybe it'll help you read between the lines!

you have to be a real idiot to buy an account, list vero, have it get shut down and then blame the seller of the account. Though I don't deny that some idiots probably exist.

If an account you buy gets canned for vero, buy two more :)

If you have had a 7 day and 30 day and you have waited 2 months between, then you should know that the next restriction that follows is usually indefinite suspension. And there will be very little you can do after that happens. If you like the account, then I would not list it again on your account...ever. 2 months is a long time to wait to list V*ro, so they are apparently watching that item or your account very closely.

That is EXACTLY what account buyers here on this forum do.

Buy accounts, get told to not list high risk VeRo items.

With many their first listing is just that.

No-one should expect sellers to constantly have to deal with such issues.

That seems to be a VERY simple fix........I tell you up front....if I sell you account and you list a single VERO item on it, you are on your own......done deal.

They are rights owned items Jude, where you need to get the owners permission to list them for sale, if you don't do that the rights owner can get the items deleted by complaining to Ebay, like has been already said some of these rights owners will not allow their items to be sold on auction sites at all!

Also, some people use the term interchangeably with "counterfeit".

However, VERO is simply eBay's verified rights owner program. You can sell a perfectly authentic item that is VERO and have problems.

Some people will say they were selling VERO items and meaning that they were selling counterfeits.

Selling most VERO items is OK, *IF* they are genuine and *IF* the brand owner does not request that the listing be removed. If the brand owner DOES remove the listing, then your only recourse is to email them and ask for permission to sell. Many will grant such permission if you can prove that your source of items is legitimate - but some will not.

You may argue that you have every right to sell GENUINE VERO items, and most of us would agree with you, but the only thing that matters is eBay. And the brand owners have the power right now, thanks to the DMCA.

And it is NEVER a good idea to sell ANY VERO items, genuine or otherwise, on a brand new account.

For the record, most of the PROBLEMS people have with VERO are the "hot" brands that have attracted a lot of counterfeiters. Apple, Disney, Warner Brothers, Universal Studios, BeachBody, Ed Hardy, Coach, Louis Vuitton, etc. are a few examples. Selling a dead brand, like a "Donald Trump" watch, is probably OK.

Vero sounds so much better than that ugly C word though.

speaking of Vero, where would I find the latest Vero item list?

That explains why when selling quite a lot of UGG Boots I got suspended. Thay were genuine though!! Anyway up and running again with Ebay Stealth but not selling any Vero items!

Re: ebay restriction problem Vero

Well thanks for the info folks and sorry for the late reply went in to my spam

I am certainly not going to sell the items pulled ever again. Quite a lot of my products are questionable in terms of the designs. They are certainly not counterfeit and are always slightly different and described as "Inspired by" or in the "Style" and stuff like that

Well thanks for your advice, still gonna buy an account though?

Cheers
