Moving house question
 

Hi there. Have searched forums for replies but have not got the complete answer.

Basically, my account was closed but we are moving house in a couple of months.

If I set up all new details (Paypal, Bank, Email, Phone) and use a brand new computer then the ONLY link to my old account will be my name and DOB

I have read mixed posts ref name. Can ebay track on this?

Also I would be looking to sell similar stuff but could hold off for a few months and build up to Top Rated by selling something completely unrelated.

Once I have Top Rated seller status would it be safe to sell same stuff as when I was banned? Many thanks.

Same name and same DOB is an easy link.

Its very likely you are the only person on the planet with both the same name and the same DOB.

When setting up new accounts, EVERYTHING must be new. The name/DOB will link you to your closed account.

Thanks for the replies . So, do I make a new name up or use a variation? Also do I make up a new DOB or might they ask for copy of passport? Thanks again

New DOB and stealth name is ideal.

If you get to the £1650/1900 EU limit then sent over a message to one of the forum members with a purple username (like mine) and we will point you in the right direction.

i was in the same situation as yourself and i used my same details and never got linked though 1 year in i got suspended of eBay due to the "nature of my listing" (listing was an iPhone case) but i still have my PayPal account and have all limits removed and i use it for gumtree and if ever a buyer opens a case i usually get the decision... find this very unusual.

i will never understand why new stealthers are so hell bound on either using thier real name or some variation of it......think out of the box....forget your name....there is NO reason to do it.......

Making up name or variation works - just all other info should be new
