Will the accounts get linked?
 

Hi,
I accidentally logged in to eBay at the same time on the same Windows user and same IP with 2 different accounts on different browsers [Chrome and Firefox].
1 of the accounts is stealth the other is not.
Both of the accounts have restriction to sell in the US [below standard] but they can sell Worldwide.
I logged in for only 30 seconds maximum, I know it probably doesn't matter, just wanted you to know maybe it does matter.
Both of the accounts sell the same items.
I thought about ending the listings on one of the accounts but then I thought the eBay can see the listing anyway on the "Unsold" page.

What do you think?
As long as the accounts are good [no restrictions (MC999)] they will keep running?

Accounts are linked.

Only time will tell if they get limited.

They are linked.

if one goes down it just a matter of time the other one will go down too

so don't depend on them

Not quite that simple....yes, the accounts now have a "link" between them, but that doesn't guarantee death for one if the other goes down. There are many people, myself included, that have stories of an ebay account getting suspended, but not another that was used regularly on the same IP. I'm not saying to do it....I'm just saying that it's not the 100% kiss of death....my advice is always " the only good link, is NO link".

So his issue is that he has shared the same IP address between the 2 accounts? He stated that he had it under the same user account, but he used 2 different browsers.

The 2 different browsers should not cause a link, correct?

Is IP address, just that one time, enough to cause a harsh enough link to cause a limit/restriction if one of the accounts goes down?

Not disagreeing, just curious what the popular opinion is

@bjammin, I think he would have got away with it until he mentioned his selling the same items.

I dont think ending any listings now would help.

However, if an MC999 hasnt come your way, tread carefully, carry on doing what your doing but dont make this same mistake again, and just hope you made it through an unknown loophole and got away with it - but im sure some time later they will drop a bomb on you.
