My unlucky eBay story!

Hello everyone,

Nice joining here to share some thing about eBay business with all guys.
And meanwhile I need some help.

Last year, I begin with my eBay business, and it goes very well.

But thing is getting worse form June this year.

There is a lot of case and bad review caused by shipping.

We also do not know why, because we track the tracking number and it always shows the item has already arrived in the customer's local post service, but it never post.
But customer never cares about the delay or what happens ,they find out the item still does not arrive then leave us the negative feedback or just opens the new case about never receiving the items, and of course they will win the case and eBay return the money back,so we lost both item and cash, what was worse, the eBay account became below standard.

And at first a lot of list can not change or even correct the quantities. Then a lot of listings were ended by eBay and it shows we have no rights to sell this kind of items. And last the eBay account shows Your seller dashboard won't be updated after Sep 20, 2014, because you were restricted from selling on eBay.

I really do not know how do do it,because I can not sell, so I have no ways to improve the selling service. So I have no chance to see that one day my eBay account will above the standard.

What a pity!What a shame!

Does anyone know how can I do and what I can do?

Thank you with my best wishes.

Hugh

Hi & welcome to the forums

Were you selling copies or phake items?
since you said ' ebay ended your listings and said you cannot sell them'

Where did you ship to? you can block selling to countries that always open cases against you.

What a trite response.

You never ever bother to address the questions.

Explain to me how making more account is going to SOLVE the issues the OP has?

Even the other posters gave some assistance to the newcomer.

What shipping company are you using?
If you are shipping mainly to customers in the US I know that the cheaper way is tempting but it may be the reason why you are getting so much trouble with delays and nothing being delivered or on time.
Another thing are you making it perfectly clear the expected shipping time? I would even add more time on top of what is the normal shipping time so that their expectations will be met and they wont be let down!

No,I never sell the copies items, and I only ship to USA and UK.Yes,as you said I have blocked the other countries becasue of the bad shipping most.

Thanks for your great response and very glad to have your idea.I use the USPS in US and have the clear despription about the shipping time for different aren.

But the problem I met worse is now the account is below the US standard, and it alwayas shows "Your seller dashboard won't be updated after 20 Sep, 2014, because you were restricted from selling on eBay".

I just do now know when can it be above the standard as global ,uk site.

Hmmm I am not really sure. I havent really had this problem. Its hard when most of your customers are out of the country. Have you looked into creating stealth accounts that are US or Canada Stealth accounts? I dont know if that might help?
Also what about drop shipping, any companies or partners you know in the country you get the most sales in willing to work with you? that way your shipping times would be met no problem and you would have happy customers. A little less profit but hey some profit is better then no profit
Just a few thoughts

Re: My unlucky eBay story!

Let me add that I've had people complain about shipping times when it was delivered 3 days after payment... Amazon Prime has spoiled the American people. I had a buyer complain 2hrs after payment that tracking is not working and opened a case. You need to keep people constantly updated. They are very anxious when ordering from ebay. They hear horror stories or have had other bad experiences.

in off-season I sell approx. 1000 items a month my defect rate was 36 first month initiated, then 24, last month 6, so far 0.... You have to adapt and learn. ebay is always changing and if you have a problem product, no matter what the profit, don't sell it again...

You have to learn and use that knowledge on a daily basis. There are also some 3rd party apps to help keep your buyers updated. I buy cheap things from china on ebay too... I get updates once a week on status of package.
