eBay Restricted - Indefinetly
 

Today I woke up to one of the worst days of my life.

I saw hundreds of emails that read "Listing Cancelled", and when I scrolled down to the end. XXX - your account is restricted. I read the e-mail and the only thing I really saw was "you can no longer sell on eBay".

I had no idea what was going on and after few calls to eBay they told me that my seller performance had dipped below their standards, totaling 19% defective rate with 146 transactions.

These weren't even my fault. I sell Unlock Codes which is illegal in the US but a bit under the table in Canada (where I sell). I been selling for about 9 months just fine, called in few times to increase my limits and although they ask me i would tell them i sell only in Canada and the representatives said that was fine.

On my listing i specifically state that this listing does not unlock US phones but however some customers still purchase it. I have no choice but to cancel the transaction due to them purchasing by mistake which is the same topic code i use when opening a case. However, the "specialist" i was talking to said all cancellations count as a defect.. To me this completely bull!! Anyway, I called in few times and all gave me same answer. Told me to F**k off and sell somewhere else... no help whatsoever. Had 99.8% positive feedback with over 1300 positives ( I totally get this may be little compared to others) but i am completely devastated.

To make things worst my friends account also got suspended as he bought a item with my ebay account but log in his Paypal...

I came to this forum before as I wanted to open a back up account but i may of linked it already ... i am not sure i used my cousins name diff everything.

I am planning to use a new chrombook just for this account and a rocket stick to connect to internet thats it.

I am also planning on opening more accounts. I have purchased the book and now i am turning STEALTH on these eBay mother ****ers.

Anyway, a quick question after all my ranting - i just feel like crap. Is it ever possible to recover this account back?

Welcome to the forums Jeff.
Lots of info for you to read and lots to learn.
Start with the stealth guide. read it through. The supplement your knowledge with the various threads on the forums that discuss areas youre not sure about. And when you cant find an answer just open your own thread and ask away.
Quick tip - You do not need a new computer to get started. Save your money.
As for your account - its most likely gone. Don't feel like crap. Weve all been there and that's why were all here now. Within a few weeks youll be back selling - just do things the proper stealth way and youll be back on your feet in no time.

Sorry to hear that Jeff. You gotta read the book a few times. You also need to realize that some of the book is outdated, so the forum can help fill in the gaps. You should def not make 1 stealth, but you should build an army.

I was fortunate enough to start making stealths before my real account got the infinite boot. But I now operate about 25 stealths that I sell from, and although I get the occasional MC999, all my stealths are alive and thriving without the infinite boot.

And if this is something I can pull off, then I am quite sure that you can too. Stealthing is not hard but sometimes it is time consuming. SO, my first piece of advice is take it slow. We all know everyone is in a hurry to get back to selling, but this is often the road to another ban if you are not patient.

Hey Jeff........well, you are in the club now! All I have really is good news for you....if you follow the info in the guide and advice from some veterans here, you'll be back up and running in no time.....in a much better position, because you won't ever have to worry about having that gut wrenching feeling again....you'll have a permanent net under you....you'll see....I know it's hard to imagine now....but in the end, you'll eventually be glad this happened.....I went thru all of it, came out the other side.... and it's great! P.S....unless a total miracle happens, and I mean MIRACLE, your old account is dead and gone.

here's something you may not want to hear. But life's tough so you can hear it....

YES, it is YOUR fault as the seller has to be careful of listing items that make the grade. By your own words, you tried to buck the system.

Is this horrible? Of course. Now you learn the ways of stealth and learn to beat ebay.

Ya it is my fault finally accepting it. I should of watched my transactions and suck up the final fees. But i got greedy for few bucks and lost a big account.

But I guess it is a lesson. loving this book already man. so worth it. will browse the forum to master the art of stealth

Get even with ebay and sell even more BUT not items that will stuff up your account

When you're back up and selling, block other countrys from buying. Then you wont encounter this problem again.
