Activity: 0% Longevity: 54% | | Stealth Trip Up - New Bank Account?
Big 5000+ feedback eBay account suspended like a lot of people. Crying about it, but not wasting time trying to get back on. Most things seem easy enough (new phone number, IP address, physical address, etc.), but I'm just trying to have all of my ducks in a row before I try to open my new account so I don't waste unused information I plan on using.
The thing I don't understand how to get around is having your name on your new bank account and then attaching that bank account to a new eBay account because it's the same name on the suspended eBay account and will be the same name on your PayPal account.
Say your name is Bob Smith:
Suspended eBay name = Bob Smith
New Bank Account = Bob Smith
New eBay/PayPal name = Bob Smith
It seems like eBay would link and suspend these very easily. Am I wrong? Is there a way around this? I think this is the last thing I am missing before I try to get a new account so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You only add your bank account to paypal, not ebay.
Let me explain, you open a new bank account in your real name, bob smith.
When you attach it to paypal, use your stealth name. Paypal can not see the name attached to the bank account, they only see the account number and sort code.
Whenever adding information to paypal, ALWAYS use your stealth details.

Welcome to the forums - stealth works - learn about it and apply it well - keep it simple

So what about paying eBay fees? If you don't have your bank account attached to eBay you have to use a credit card which will have your real name on it.
Do you pay eBay fees with PayPal to get around this?

You can either use your PayPal balance to pay your fees or you can use a VCC

Be sure to use a bank that allows mismatching names for deposits. You don't want to upset your bank.

So should you never put a credit card on your PayPal account to be stealth?

BUT; paypal does.
You use your real ID to make a bank account.
You then attach the numbers of that bank account to your (stealth) paypal.
You make everything new name wise as well. No old info can be used.
Good Luck

They restricted me from selling on ebay for ever (not buying though) so my paypal is still working. I used to transfer money from my pay pal account to my bank (BOA) My PP is registered in Chile and the bank account is from the US (under my real name)
Never had an issue with pay pal or my bank when transfering money from PP to BOA. Even though names did not match. Guess the bank allows is and PP as other people says here in the forum has no way to know who is the owner of the account. |

Also, some previously said to pay PayPal fees with PayPal balance.

Also, some previously said to pay PayPal fees with PayPal balance. | Yes, you can pay them before they are due. You can use the vcc to pay them, or the paypal balance.
Why let the amount you owe build up? Pay it off when you want, stay in control.

Just butting in here and trying to re clarify something.
If i get a new bank account, new routing numbers etc. all i need to do is link it to pyapal via routing numbers with stealth names for paypal, then just pay ebay fees with my payapl balance, after that, i can just transfer pp balance to the routing number account and bam!
should work without being linked right?
If its true, could i use this same routing number for different pp accounts and use the stealth names for each pp account?

You add the routing number and the new account number and confirm it in whichever way you prefer.
And yes you can safely transfer your funds to your bank account but if you're using a completely random stealth name, you need to be sure that your bank is okay with mismatched names. Many banks don't care, but some definitely do and can reject the deposits and cause other problems.
You can use the same routing number - or to be more specific, you have to as most of the time everyone in your state that has an account at your bank will have the same routing number. In some cases, a bank only has one routing number for all of its account holders no matter what state they're in. The bank account number is the important part. That's what needs to be new/different each time.

I will have to check if the bank cares, I'm running out of similar names here.
Oh i get it, each bank account has maybe the same routing number but the bank account number is what distinguishes them.
thank you.

thank you. | All correct, also just a quick tip.....don't try to have too many accounts at 1 particular bank, spread out your accounts at different banks, being in So. Cal, we have a lot of options: BOA, WF, Chase, Credit Unions. Don't use Bank of the West....won't work.

To my understanding, opening too many accounts at different banks will be a red flag for the chex system.

I recommend PNC and Chase
Ive opened and closed an ungodly number of accounts (dozen or more)
You can open the accounts online and they both have great features

so I was gonna open an online checking account today at BOA and i was required a minimum deposit right away of $25, okay, but then i am needing to have a minimum balance of about 3-$500 or a deposit of some other odd amount. While I am starting to sell i don't know if these funds will be transferred every month and I'll just be charged fees.
Any other banks you guys recommend where a simple account just needs a one time entry fee? or are all other banks gonna be like this?
I just checked chase bank and that one require $1500 minimum balance daily!

Most banks now have monthly fees, or require a minimum amount to waive the fees
